If you know me well, I have a serious love for Fireworks. I will go to just about any event that has fireworks included. And as you can imagine, July is my favorite month of the year. I make our family go to as many fireworks shows as possible!
Ever since I started couponing and finding deals, I started noticing how expensive fireworks were and how much people were paying for them. So over the last two years, I decided to figure out where to find them for the cheapest.
I receive email coupons from places like TNT that can only be used at the tents you see in grocery store parking lots. But, even after calcuating the coupon in- the fireworks at those tent sales were SO much higher than purchasing in a grocery store! I compared their prices to a local Grocery store here in Utah called Maceys. Each year Maceys puts out a fireworks coupon in their weekly ad that you can use on their pre-packaged fireworks. And with that in-store coupon, the SAME EXACT fireworks package ended up being $30 cheaper than at the TNT tent. **A lot of Tents are fundraising efforts. So, if supporting those are a big deal to you, the cost may not be concern for you.
You might find that prices are different where you live- and that is totally to be expected. But, what I am trying to get across is that you never know which place has the best deal. I would have assumed that the TNT Tent Fireworks would have been more of a wholesale cost. But they werent. The grocery stores are able to mark up the cost on other grocery items to cover the discounted price on Fireworks. So, please remember to always price check items like this you are wanting to purchase. For me, it saved me $30 last year and I plan on doing the same thing this year too!
ONE MORE TIP: If you go on the 4th of July to a Tent, they usually have Fireworks marked off significantly to get rid of inventory. So, you could definitely try that if you wanted. We did that last year as well and they were 50% off around 3pm!!
Any place that you have found a killer price on Fireworks??
**Oh for all of you who want in on the Maceys Deal when the coupon comes out again this year, Ill let you know when they do!

How about the one at Costco? TNT box for $60, they say it is worth $235….is that any good? Any idea?

I have found that those are usually a better deal than even the ones at Macey’s. You usually get a few more fountains for the same price.

I love going to see fireworks(we saw 2 firework shows over the weekend and will see more on Thursday), however I am not a fan of doing my own fireworks. Here in So. Cal. most fireworks are illegal anyways.

We love fireworks too. We have found the coupon deal at Maceys to be the best and some tents that do buy one get one free have good deals also.

I like the selection at Harmons. Some of their prices are pretty competitive.

Ksl deals had a coupon for 15.00 for 30.00 worth of fireworks. I went to the tent and they were a fifth the price of TNT fireworks. We honestly stocked up for 30.00. It’s called case lot fireworks.

thanks, I was just thinking about this today. Now I have a better idea of where to buy.

We priced a tent by us then went into linns (sp?) just to give an idea smoke bombs were buy one at 5 dollars get one free at the tent. In store it was 1 dollar a piece (both 6 pack TNT ones) ground blooms set of 4 was but one get 1 free at the tent (made them 2 bucks a piece for a 4 pack) inside the store they were three four packs for a dollar.
We got a little kit, they wanted 80 for it at the tent and we paid 40 in store. We will need to go to a tent or parachutes but we got a lot more or less in store with no coupons even!
