**If you want to come with us, and score this awesome deal, you will need to book by July 15th.  That is only 5 Days away!  Details are below!

Update:  Even though the ticket prices for Disneyland have gone up, Get Away Today is giving us the lower ticket prices!! This offer needs to be booked by July 15th, 2013.  So if you want to come, make sure you get set up on a payment plan and book it right away.  Or purchase before July 15th!

I think by now you all know h0w much I just LOVE Disneyland.  It is just so magical and so fun! My favorite time of the year to go to Disneyland is actually during Halloween Time.  They completely change the park with awesome decorations, Mickey and all his friends get dressed up in Halloween Costumes and they actually change a few of the rides with Halloween Themes!  And it is the only time of the entire year you get to see the Disney Villians! Not to mention that they have the Mickey’s Halloween Party- ridiculous amounts of Candy, Free Trick or Treat Bags, Special Fireworks Show and the park opens only for Party guests!

Benefits of Staying at a Disneyland Hotel:

  • You get early access to Disneyland every day of your vacation, as long as you have a valid park ticket and your room key.  **This is the BEST way to get into Cars Land and ride all of the rides before everyone else gets in an hour later!  We rode the brand new Cars ride 3 times and the other rides all before the park opened to the public!  ONLY people staying at a Disney Resort can get in that hour early each day.  So it makes a big difference!
  • For those with little ones who still need to take naps, I personally think a Disneyland Hotel really helps out!  You are only steps away from your actual hotel room.  You can leave mid-day when the park starts to get crowded and head back to the hotel for a nap and some time at the pool.  Then, you can head back early evening when people are starting to leave for the day!
  • At the Disneyland Hotel, you can choose to use the Monorail to enter the park each morning, or go through the special/private entrance through the Grand Californian Hotel.  Both can help you get into the park faster!
  • The nighttime show and firework music is piped in through your TV.  So if you have to head back to the Hotel early, you can still get some of the magic!
  • Disney Princesses tell bedtime stories to your kids on a special Disneyland Hotel TV channel
  • You can schedule a wake-up call from Mickey Mouse each morning.  Have each of your kids answer the phone in the morning and get a fun surprise!!

  1. When can we book the Halloween Party tickets? 🙂

    Reply
    • We do the Halloween party every year and it usually comes available on the Disneyland website in late July/August. It is so much fun!

      Reply
  2. If I wasn’t due the next week my family would be all over this deal!

    Reply
  3. Amazing!!! Thank you!!!

    Reply
  4. Do you know if there are options for larger families? 2 adults and 5 kids (the youngest will have just turned 1)?

    Reply
    • Yep, in the post I talked about how you can just add extra park hoppers if you need them to the package. Plus, the staybridge suites is probably your best option and will fit you all in one hotel room. Just call up that number on the post so they can help you and get you some options that fit your family size!

      Reply
  5. Awesome!! Thanks!

    Reply
  6. My husband and I are interested in this plan, but we wouldn’t need hoppers for kids since we don’t have any yet. Can those be taken out of a package?

    Reply
    • Yep, definitely! Just call up that number in the post and let them know. They can take out the cost for the kids tickets! It will be a lot cheaper!

      Reply
  7. It’s just me and my husband too…we would not need kid tickets. What is the price for that??

    Reply
    • Just call up that number in the post and let them know, they will take out the cost for the kids tickets! It should be a lot cheaper for you guys!

      Reply
      • Just called and spoke with them about the price for no children (or children under 3) and they said you would just take off the price of the tickets. They are $265 each so total of $530 off of whichever package you would want.

        Reply
  8. Will the Halloween Party be going at that time, I know this would be extra….

    Reply
    • Yep, it will be on Friday night. They usually are $50 per ticket. So it is an extra cost, but you get in from about 4pmish and can stay till like 1am! And, only Halloween Party ticket holders can get in!

      Reply
  9. Is there a deadline to book these by?

    Reply
    • No, there isn’t a deadline. But depending on how many people book, it could sell out

  10. My daughter and I go every year (season pass holders) but, it’s full even on those dates…what am I saying, Disneyland is always full.

    Reply
    • Yeah, Disneyland is always full isn’t it?? LOL But, we have gone two years to the Halloween Party and it was almost empty. So, you just never know! I think it is super busy during UEA break.

      Reply
      • I wonder how recently you have gone during these times? We used to always go during this time (season pass holders as well) and it is getting busier and busier. We even took a year off from our season passes hoping for a miracle expansion or something to slow down the crowds!

        Reply
        • Hey Amy, Last year was busy.. but we also went the first week of October and it was Arizona’s UEA break. But the year before we went in September it was wonderful! But, I guess we can all expect that once everyone hears about how much fun Mickey’s Party is… it is going to get busier. 🙂

          Reply
          • You can go to touringplans.com and check the crowd calendar! Those dates look awesome!

  11. For the payment plan, would I need to pay the first payment the day I book the reservation or is the first payment due next month?

    Reply
    • They are super flexible with it actually! So, I’m sure you can work out something that works for your family. As long as it is paid in full before you go! 🙂

      Reply
  12. Are those dates right? It’s for SEPTEMBER 24-28???

    Reply
    • Yep! Weird, I know.. But Hallowen actually starts at Disneyland the 2nd or 3rd week in September! So, we are going the last week of September… that way, I am hoping it won’t be too crowded because of all the UEA travelers. 🙂

      Reply
  13. Oh, one more thing..I do want to give you a heads up that last year they released Mickey’s Halloween Party Tickets July 16th. So we can expect to see them around the same time. They are usually around $50 per person.
I will email everyone who books the Get Away Today Deal to give you a heads up when that happens. And, I will post it on the site for everyone too! They do sell out each year. So I will DEFINITELY give you a heads up so we can go party together!!

  16. We have stayed at the Staybridge Inn and Suites the last 2 years. By far the best value and it has a GREAT breakfast, not to mention the mid week receptions which includes light dinners. Also, if you have more then 4 people in your family, they have a great 2 bedroom suite that sleeps 8, so you don’t have to have 2 rooms. Pool is great, full kitchen in each room. Highly recommend staying there.

    Reply
  17. Is Disneyland hotel the only one that allows for early entry or do all of these hotels allow early entry?

    Reply
    • The Disneyland Hotel is the only one in these packages that offers early entry every single day. Park Hopper Tickets offer early entry on specific days of the week.

      Reply
      • do you know which days?

        Reply
    • All of the tickets included with these packages include one Magic Morning which can be used to get into Disneyland on Tuesday, Thursday OR Saturday. But, if you’re staying at the Disneyland Hotel, you’ll get early entry to a Disney park each day. So, if you stay at the Disneyland Hotel, you’ll get into Disneyland an hour early on Tuesday, Thursday AND Saturday. You’ll also get into Disney California Adventure on Wednesday AND Friday. Staying at a Disney hotel is the ONLY way to get into Disney California Adventure early. 🙂

    Reply
    • Renee – we can still offer you the discount Park Hopper tickets and Character Dining through our Group Department. 🙂

  20. When would we need to book by? I’m trying to see if we can scrap up some funds. (Money is super tight right now since we’ve got medical bills and student loans to pay each month.)

Also, do you think you would do something else like this in the future? I’ve never been to Disneyland and it would be awesome to go sometime.

  21. Man, We’re going the 2nd week in December, will they have another deal like this one??? Sounds like a great time to finally stay at a Disneyland hotel!

    Reply
  22. Can you get 3-day park hopper passes instead of 5 in the package? With only 4 nights in the hotel included, that means that if you’re traveling a far distance, you’d have to find somewhere else to stay Sunday night and Friday night. Thanks for figuring out these packages for us! This will be my first time going to Disneyland with my husband and 2 little ones (both under 3 so hopefully they would be free!) and I’m hoping to be able to make it work for that week!! 🙂

    Reply
    • Valorie – we can completely customize the package for you – and yes, if both of your kids are under 3, they are free! Call our Group Dept at 888.943.2929 and they will help you out. 🙂

  24. Just a heads up, we went last year the very first night they had Mickey’s Halloween party on Sept. 28th and it was sold out. I believe every night they had it, it was sold out. And Disneyland was crazy during that time. The schools were out for some Jewish holidays and they were non-blackout days for Disneyland. So those who had season passes were all there. It was even busier during the summertime! We liked the party and trick or treating, just prepare for super big crowds at the fireworks and parade shows and don’t expect to ride many rides. We mainly trick or treated and danced with the characters at the dance parties.

    Reply
    • Aimee, if you don’t buy tickets for the party, do you have to leave the park early? We already had a trip planned for that week and wont be able to get tickets for the party. Just wondering if we will be kicked out early.

      Reply
      • Hey Courtney, Not sure if anyone answered. But, they do kick everyone else out of the park around 6pm.. if I remember correctly and then everyone either goes to their hotel or tries to do California Adventures- which is a madhouse.

        Reply
  25. I meant it was even busier in the fall, then in the summertime! The employees couldn’t believe the crowds.

    Reply
  26. We went last year and it was fun. My older kids had a great time riding the rides. The lines were really short. But they didn’t get in much candy hunting. We stayed with the younger kids and got tons of candy, but not much rides. We didn’t do much villain hunting because the lines were really long to meet them. The time goes faster than you think. We had a good time, but it was a lot of work, taking costumes and getting ready etc. We were annual pass holders so we got a deal for the Halloween party tickets. Each pass holder can get up to 8 tickets on their one annual passport, so if you know anyone with passes it is worth it to go through them. Had a good time, but not sure we will do it again.

  37. This may be a funny question, but is Disneyland scary for little kids around this time of year? Like haunted houses and stuff? We’ve been looking to go around then anyway but didn’t realize it was Halloween time there. My 4 year old was a little scared of Disneyland when we went the first time (in the spring), so I wouldn’t want to go if they make it kind of scary!

    Reply
    • It isn’t scary. They do have jack the skeleton king and Sally walking around- but if that scares your kids you could just go the other direction. 🙂 there is a cute big Mickey pumpkin on Main Street and the haunted house is changed. It’s been years since I’ve gone, BUT we went with a a baby, 2 two year olds and 3 three year olds!! They all loved it!

Just wondering if anyone knows when all the Halloween stuff starts up? I am guessing September 13th going off 2012. When do the Mickey’s Halloween parties start up though? Is it way busier that first week of Halloween time? Wish we could utilize this deal, but we have to go when it works for our schedule:). Thanks Melea for all your hard work. I love Freebies2deals!

  47. Hi Melea, love your site! We have actually been planning to go to Disneyland this week for a couple months now so I have been looking at the getawaytoday site (per your advice of course) for a while now. I am just a little confused, and maybe you could clarify, what the deal is exactly going through you? When I have checked out the exact hotels you listed for the same dates, children, ART add-on etc on their website it is actually a little cheaper (around $50) going through their website. So I am not sure if I am understanding correctly if there is something extra I am not realizing associated with your deals listed here? Or if it is just as good a deal to go directly through them. Thanks!!

    Reply
  48. Sorry I should have clarified, we don’t need the payment plan as we have been saving up (and is an awesome deal) so if we don’t need that part would there be any other benefit or is that the biggest savings perk? Thanks again!

  56. Wish we could go! We LOVE Disneyland and were there October 22-24 in the park. So fun and not too busy. We rode everything we wanted to and then some in those three days. We didn’t go to the Halloween Party but went to California Adventure which wasn’t too busy. Taking our one and 1/2 year old this year however would be TORTURE! Thanks for doing this. If you could do it again next year, we would love it!
    Thanks for your website.
