Simply Mac is hosting a free e-Waste recycling event for the general public on May 18th from 9am-3pm at The Maverk Center in SLC (3200 S Decker Lake Drive Salt Lake City, UT)!
Electronic waste, or e-Waste, is outdated technology such as: computers, TVs, monitors, laptops, cell phones, VCRs & DVD players, copiers & fax machines and much more. While e-Waste only accounts for 5% of our trash volume, it equals 70% of overall toxic waste. In Utah, approximately 208 million pounds of e-Waste are filling landfills each year.

**Keep in mind that they’ll be at The Maverk Center both the 17th and 18th for the event. The 17th is only open for businesses who have registered prior to the event. The 18th is for the general public.

I went and recycled some e-waste products at 1 p.m. There was no one there, in some way it was nice. I also think the public can also go on Friday if they cant go Saturday. Thanks to Simply Mac for doing the event and everyone who participated.
