When we started looking for a big girl bed for Devyn, we looked everywhere. We didn’t want to waste money on something super cheap so that we would have to purchase another bed later. But, we also didn’t want to spend a ridiculous amount. We went to just about every Furniture store around… some beds were very cute but they weren’t sturdy at all. I didn’t like how the bed would shake if I put any type of pressure on it. Not a good sign at all.
When the Pottery Barn Kids sale came around, we thought we would give that a shot. And we found a perfect bed for Devyn there for $399. It was incredibly sturdy, well made and it was remarkably the same price as some of the cheaply made beds we saw at other furniture stores!
Since we had such a great experience and found something that worked for our family, I thought I would let you guys know that Pottery Barn Kids has started that same sale again. Twin Beds at Pottery Barn Kids are as low as $399. (In case you are wondering, we purchased the Catalina Bed for Devyn.)
If you happen to have a Pottery Barn Kids store in your area, you might want to make the trip there. They will sometimes sell you their floor model for even less! It’s a worth a shot! And if they have the model in-store that you want, you won’t have to pay for shipping!

Also, DownEast Home sells Pottery Barn stuff! Might want to check their beds too. Could be identical for less.

Definitely, I would check DownEast first. Sometimes, their furniture goes on clearance, and then they do sales for 30% off the clearance price. For me, $399 still seems outrageous for a kid’s twin bed. I’ve also seen some old sturdy beds refinished to be really adorable.

My son has the same bed and it’s great – very good quality.
