For those of you who celebrate Easter, you might want to check your local TV listings for “The Bible” Mini Series that has started airing this weekend! It is 10 hours of stories from Genesis to Revelation in The Bible. And it covers the events we now refer to as Easter. So it might be worth checking out and watching with your family.

I am not sure how accurate the stories are. So if that concerns you with your children, you might want to watch it first to check it out.

  1. I actually just saw a review of this yesterday, and it’s incredibly violent. The reviewer called it “loud and bloody.” I think I’ll pass.

  2. It actually started March 3rd. Maybe they’re going to air the first 4 parts of the mini series before the finale episode on Sunday. I actually enjoy watching it, it’s pretty good.

  3. Yes Dani, that is what I have thought watching just a few short clips. It seems to portray things a bit on the violent side. I didn’t care for it much and it don’t seem to be very accurate from what I have seen 🙁

  4. I wish I could see it but it’s the price I have to pay for getting rid of cable finally. Less cost means less viewing on the television. I thought the kids would hate it but with Netflix and Hulu, we don’t miss much! Oh and Redbox!

  5. I’ve watched the first episode and I enjoy it. As for accuracy, it’s not a documentary, rather an interpretation like any other movie. The violence didn’t bother me because I don’t expect biblical times to be free of violence. I still have other episodes to watch, so maybe I haven’t seen the worst of it yet.
