AMC has started something pretty cool! The first Tuesday of each Month, AMC will have a Bring Your Baby Matinee. That means you can bring your kids- fussy babies and not worry about it.”See the movies you want to see in a baby-friendly zone. That means the lights are brighter, the volume is lowered, and poopy diapers are not frowned upon.” Sounds pretty cool! Especially for those chick flicks your husband may not want to see.

The Host releases today in theaters. But if you don’t make it, you can go on Tuesday, April 2nd to see it as a Matinee with this special screening.

After trying to get someone to attend this with me (who likes to see movies alone) for 8 months, it finally happened today. And then we were told that this turns out to be the last offering of the “bring your baby” matinee from AMC. I am hoping this is somehow not the case, becasue I do love going to the theater, but not sure I would try a non-baby friendly offering.

same thing happened in NJ. All Amc cancelled but we petitioned our theater and they are doing it for our meet up group.

I am also super disappointed this is gone… any updates as to whether the bring your baby matinee is returning to AMC or any other theaters? I also participate in a NJ moms’ meetup group and would love to suggest this as an outing!
