In our neighborhood, we mostly have younger children. It’s great for my daughter because she has lot of people to play with. But when it comes to babysitters, we don’t have a lot to choose from yet. I do grab younger girls around 12 years old or so on a regular basis. But, if we need to stay out late, we have to try to find someone older.
If you didn’t know, Care.com will let you set up a FREE account with them! You can search babysitters in your area. You can even use keywords to search profiles. So if you want a babysitter with a certain religious background, age, or anything- you can search for it!

We used Care.com to find two sitters in our area, a main sitter and a backup. We did have to buy an account to get all of their profile information, but there are always coupons and deals to drop the price. It worked out well for us.
