I have to say that I am a huge fan of Turbo Tax. Our family has used it before and really liked it. It walks you through everything step by step and you get to see what you owe or what you are getting back from State and Federal the entire time.

I know that you’ve posted the last couple of years Amazon having on sale the TaxCut software by H&R Block with a similar package of fed+state+e-file for about $20 around this time of year. Any word on that deal yet? It’s so nice not to have to re-input a lot of basic information by just using the same program and upgrading. I just double checked my account and last year it was Jan 7, and the year before it was Jan 12. Hoping to be able to get that bought soon!

Right now the H&R Block software (Deluxe + State 2012 *which includes 5 free e-files) is $31.85 on Amazon. Still debating on whether this is a good enough deal or whether they’ll put it down around $20 like they have in past years. It’s still cheaper than Turbo Tax right now, though.
