If you guys remember last year, the LeapPad craze was out of control during the Holidays. There weren’t enough to go around and everyone was scrambling to try to snag one for their kids.
Leapfrog has announced that the LeapPad 2 is coming out and is set to officially release August 1st. However, you can head over now and pre-order it and guarantee that you will be able to get one of them. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was another supply and demand problem with them again this year as we get closer to Christmas. So, my advice is to order it early and store it away!

As of right now, it looks like the LeapPad and the LeapPad2 are the same price. So, you might as well go with the larger memory and newer technology.

However, you might not want to take the chance that the price will go lower than $99.99 on this item. They usually don’t. So the best deal for this item is just to get your hands on it. 🙂

Last week I was able to purchase the leap pad for $85 from Amazon. They had the green ones on sale one day and the pink ones another day. So if you keep an eye out you can get them cheaper.
