If you have never tried Netflix, it is one of those things that our family has really enjoyed in the past. And being able to do a 1-month trial that is SUPER easy to cancel and has no-strings attached makes it even more worth it to try out.
When you sign up for a 1 month trial, you can get 1 DVD out at a time. Plus, one of the best parts is how fast their shipping is. I can usually send my DVD back and have the next DVD received in 2 days. Not to mention all of the movies and TV shows you can instantly stream on your TV. I’ve found that to be a lifesaver in our home when all the kids are in bed and me and the hubby want to watch a movie. We can just watch one instantly!
During the Summer, it can be hard to keep your family entertained for cheap- since going outside isn’t really an option when it is super hot. Plus, Summer movie nights are fun! So, you can use this 1-Free Month of DVDs to do fun movie nights inside, in a backyard tent or come up with another creative idea.
This is what I would recommend:
- Head over and sign up for the 1-Month Trial of Netflix
- Then, mark on your calendar the actual cancel-by date and a reminder 2 days before.
- If you want to continue after the 1-Month, it is only $9.99 a month to get out 1 DVD at a time as many times as you want. Plus, you get movies 24/7 with Instantly Streaming!
- Or, if you want to cancel and decide you don’t like it, I would actually cancel 2-3 days before your actual month is up. That way, there is no discrepancy if you actually cancelled in time or not.
Enjoy this is perfectly fun thing to enjoy for free! Just remember to mark your calendars as soon as you start it.

Hey Melea I’m reading a different price to get both a movie rental and unlimited streaming. It’s saying Netflix offers 7.99 unlimited streaming but it’s an extra 7.99 to add one movie rental a month. So to get both unlimited streaming and one movie a month it’s telling me it’s 15.98 a month

sorry…one movie at a time not a month

The DVD and the instant streaming are 2 different things and 2 different prices. You can have both or just one. We had both, but canceled the DVD part and now just have instant streaming which is $7.99. I have seen different free trials, some are just for the instant streaming, some just for the DVD rental and some include both. Make sure you read the fine print. If you like watching new released movies, you will want the DVD package. Instant streaming usually has older movies and shows. Hope this helps!

They may have changed it since I did my free trial. The free trial should let you do both streaming and a DVD out. Then, you can decide which you like better- IF you decide you don’t want to cancel. If you do it, let us know what it ends up doing for you!

We did our free trial just a little big ago and it was ONLY for the streaming if you wanted the Dvd’s you had to pay a month!
Becky
They have changed free trials since they changed prices. You can only get streaming with your free trial. I had one not too long ago, and dvds are not part of the free trial promotion.

The free trial is only if you have not had a paid Netflix membership for the past 12 months.
