If I could be better at one thing, it would be organization.  I wish I could come up with some of the awesome ideas that I see from Pinterest.  So it is a good thing that everyone is so willing to share their ideas with the rest of us!

Awhile ago, I saw this awesome Over the Door Kid’s Art/Craft Organization Idea  from Attempting Aloha and just knew we had to do it.  I actually ended up putting it over our pantry door, since we spend most of the time in our kitchen/family room area.  Oh, I can’t tell you how good it works!

For anyone who wants to do something similar, of course us money savers want to put together the idea for the least amount of money.  So, I thought I would let you know that today at the Container Store, they have their Clear Over the Door Shoe Hangers for $12.99– instead of $19.99.  So that is an option for you.  I know some people have been lucky enough to find over the door shoe hangers at their Dollar Stores.  But, I have never been that lucky.

And, I already mentioned this morning that the Back to School Sales will be starting soon.  So, you should start seeing boxes of 24 Count Crayons for $.25 or less pretty soon!  And, of couse, a lot of other fun artsy/craft items to put in your organizer will be super cheap too.

I’ve pinned this idea on Pinterest for all of you Pinterest users.  You are more than welcome to follow me too!

  1. I use this over the door shoe thing for my medicine cabinet! I have no small children in the house, and it makes it so easy to find stuff instead of digging around in the cabinet or drawer! My mom uses one for her sewing room to hold all kinds of scissors, measuring tapes, pins, and on and on!

  2. Where do you get the over the door example in the picture? I like that it has larger pockets in the middle.

  5. We use one for our craft/junk closet. We found a really cute one at target. I’ve bought cheaper ones at walmart that we use in our towel cupboard. It works great to hold all of our toiletries and first aid supplies. I love the one pictures though. It’s middle compartment is bigger!
