Can you just download it to a home computer?

Yes. You can download the Kindle software onto your home pc and it’s free. Just go to Amazon and click on the appropriate Kindle link. However, I downloaded the Organize Your Kitchen book with no problems, but cannot get the Basic Soap book to load. Hopefully they will have the glitch fixed soon.
