On my bucket list is to one day take my family on Disney Cruise! I have heard nothing but incredible things about them from friends. So, for all of you who have been wanting to finally go on a Disney Cruise, there is an awesome offer out there that Get Away Today is sharing with Freebies2Deals Readers!
Disney Cruise lines RARELY does any type of discount or offer. So when one comes along, you will want to jump on it.
Right now, you can get an onboard credit up to $300 (can be used for shore excursions, spa, specialty beverages onboard, onboard shopping, etc.) when you book a cruise on the Disney Dream or the Disney Fantasy for 2012 or 2013. You just have to book your cruise by April 30th to get the $300 Credit.
Worried about having all of the money up-front? Get Away Today does something that I wish ALL travel companies would do! You DO NOT have to pay in full when you book your trip!!! They will do a 5 day hold complimentary, and then it’s just 20% down that is due after the hold period. The rest of the balance isn’t due until 3 months before you go on your trip! So you could easily make a down payment for a cruise for next year, and then make as many payments as you want before you go. Another nice thing is that until full payment is received, you can make changes to your trip (no questions asked) for no charge. It’s really a risk free way to guarantee that you’ll get the best price and itinerary you want on a Disney cruise!!
You won’t be able to get the $300 credit online. So, call up Get Away Today at 877.510.2929. Just MAKE SURE you mention Freebies2Deals so you can get the $300 credit!

The best deal that Disney cruises offers is kids sail free. I’m hoping that offer comes up again soon, although I doubt it will until the off season.

With the new ship and Disney leaving the Mexican Riviera, I don’t think we are going to see Kids Sail Free again anytime soon. It was a great deal, but Disney found out that they couldn’t afford it and like they said, Disney DOES NOT offer discounts very often. They are a great brand and a great experience and so they are worth the cost. I think this is the absolutely the BEST we are going to see for quite awhile!

Disney is going to sail the Mexican Riviera again. Just not during summer since that ship sails to Alaska during the summer (which is lame in my personal opinion, my kids are not wanting to go to Alaska). The kids sail free, in my opinion, is the only thing that makes Disney worth sailing. I love the Disney brand and we love Disneyland but other cruise lines cater to my kids and make it a separate experience from our Disney trips, which I prefer unless they are offering kids sail free. I bet they do it again in the off season.

Thank you! We plan on going on a Disney Cruise during the spring time of next year so we might just have to book it this month which would only be possible with the payment plan you said Get Away Today does. Thanks again!

For your reference, MOST travel agencies accept payments in exactly the same way. There is some variation depending on the payment requirements of your destination, but for cruises, a 48 hr to 7 day hold , followed by a small deposit and then final due 90 days prior is pretty standard in the industry.

it says “UP TO” $300… . Bet it’s not $300 flat.

We went on a Disney Cruise 2 years ago to the Bahamas. While we had a great time and we don’t regret our decision, we aren’t sure if we could ever spend the extra money to do a Disney cruise again. It was a great time and the shows were amazing, but the food is just ok, the pools were always so crowded and just felt like overall it was overpriced (and we did the kids sail free). I say if you have always wanted to do a Disney cruise….go for it and you will love it! But if you have cruised before (we have sailed with Princess) then you might be a little disappointed in what you get for your money. My husband and I decided next time we would just go to Disneyland for a few days, then drive to a port and go on a cruise and then you can get the best of both worlds–Disney and a cruise– and spend the same or less .

We just sailed with Disney in February in the Bahamas and spent a few days at Disney World after. I would agree that the food is ok but the kids loved eating at all hours. We loved it so much that we are cruising with Disney again in November to the Mexican Riviera with a couple days in Disneyland to check out Cars Land. They are moving the ship to Florida next year and there are no sailings out of LA in 2013. If you are looking to save $ by not having to fly to Florida you better jump on it (Flights alone were an extra $3000 for our family). While on your cruise you can book your next fully refundable and/or exchangeable cruise. They give you 10% off and you only have to put 10% down then pay in full 90 days before you sail. We even got $200 in onboard credit for each room we booked (we booked 6 so the extended family can go too). You can book now and the kids sail free comes up before you have to pay in full you can cancel and book the better offer.
