ALERT: Fake Huggies Printable Coupons! Do NOT Use!

Hey everyone!  It has been brought to my attention that people are emailing each other a page full of $8.00 off Huggies Diapers Coupons.  Unfortunately, these are FAKE and are not legitimate coupons!

If you have used these coupons un-knowingly, it is ok, you probably didn’t know.  Just don’t use them anymore in the future or forward them on to others to use.

The stores will NOT get reimbursed for this coupon and will be out $8.00.  And if a lot of people do so, the Grocery stores will lose a lot of money and it may even get to the point of not allowing any coupons to be redeemed.  And unfortunately, that has happened at some stores when people go on a rampage with fake coupons.  So, PLEASE, do not forward this coupon if you get it and kindly explain to whomever sent it to you that it isn’t real.

How can you tell on your own if a coupon is real or fake?

1- If a coupon is sent in a PDF, almost always it is a fake coupon created by someone other than the actual company.  The actual company will either host the coupon on their website, fb page or through a coupon generator like Coupons.com

2- If the coupon is an extremely high value coupon, and seems to good to be true, it probably is. Same goes for printable FREE coupons. Free Printable coupons aren’t always fake, but the majority of the time they are- which is why you will notice a lot of grocery stores do not accept them.

(Thanks Lindsay and Jade!)

  2. I wish I received them, and unknowingly used them! Lol But now that I know, I’d feel too bad about using it if I got it!

    • the idaho spuds one i believe came from the company’s website. Its not a fake.

    • THat coupon was hosted on their FB page. So it wasn’t fake. However, most stores will think it is because it is a printable coupon for a free product. So, let the Idaho Spuds people know about it on their FB Page. They need to be offering coupons people can actually use if they are going to give them out.

  4. If a coupon scans at a store….how do you know its fake?

    • Most coupons will scan at the store that are fake. So that is why you will want to be watching for the clues I gave you in the post. You may be able to get away with using the fake coupons… but the store will eventually catch on once they don’t get reimbursed for the coupons. Then, when you do have legitimate coupons to use, they either won’t take them or they just end up changing their coupon policy to make it harder to use real coupons in the future.

      • I see…Well, I feel badly for all the ones they accepted. HOwever, I wondered if they were to good to be true and asked CSM at walmart before shopping. She said they are legit and I could use them. Asked at Target too…same answer. I usually don’t trust any I get online, but the PDF thing would have been good to know. Thanks for all you do!

        • I work at Walmart. One came through my line and I was like CRAP THATS A GREAT DEAL! So I wanted to get some of the coupons too until I googled it and found out they are fake. I asked my CSM if you know a coupon is fake what do we do and she said that it probably wont scan and I was like no I know it does and shes like well then take it. If it scans we have to take it.

      • Just and FYI…I called the two stores I used these at to see if they were aware. Neither were and still accepting these coupons. I believe they will look into it now, BUT when I asked if they would like me to return what I had purchased they emphatically said NO. They are ultimately responsible and although dishonest people abuse the situation, they can’t control that and won’t. I guess at the end of the day its great to know what to look for, but when in doubt if you ask a manager (which I did prior to using) and they say use them….what can you do? Use them and be grateful I guess,….
