  1. Here’s what we do in a nut shell:

wash your hands often with soap and water while saying the ABC’S, change your clothes when you get home from school/work, use hand sanitizer when you get the car from school/library/store/restaurants, stay away from known sick people, spray common surfaces with Lysol, use Clorox wipes (but don’t obsess), I use Elderberry syrup (for immunity) from The Good Earth, Proboictics (Kefir), eat a balanced diet, cover your sneezes with a tissue, limit sugar to sometimes, sleep, smile, and spray toys with lysol when someone is sick.

I am just getting into Essential oils from DoTerra that claim to help with your immune system so I am phasing out the Lysol/chemicals in our home. I am not an expert just trying something new. Now they are NOT frugal they are expensive. I coupon so I can afford some expensive things in life. It’s just the way it is!

  2. Sugar lowers your immune system, so try to avoid as much as possible. I gave up eating sugar a few months ago and our family of 5 has had 2 sore throats since Christmas- that’s it! We’ve never gone so long without getting sick. 🙂

  4. Hide yourself inside until the flu season goes away…j/k ! You need your vitamin D, and E-mergency packets work so good. We have a lemon tree so thats a blessing. Some lady was coughing next to me the other day, and I sat further away. I also wash my hands after I get home from the store or anywhere for that matter. Lots of veggies, a low carb diet because to many carbs turn right into sugar and store up in our bellies. Lots of healthy veggie soups, and making sure the kids are not running around without proper gear. Kids tend to get a cold by running out of the house with thin clothing. But, if you get the flu, make sure you have pedialyte for the babies, barf buckets, towels, thermometer, wash cloths, powder, rash cream, lots of fun movies, and lots of patience and TLC.
