Is it still TOYS R US policy to only give store credit when returning online orders in store?

Its really not a good deal because it only pays up to $20 in shipping, if you are purchasing a big item this doesn’t come close to covering it.

Yes Alison, I just learned that the hard way. I purchased a $120 Lego set and now my son has changed his mind. When I went to retrun it last week I was shocked, apparently they are “seperate entities” or something. So, I decided to keep the dang Lego!!

Did they recently change this? I order stuff online mabye at the most 6 months ago and on my packing slip it said “hassle free returns to store” with an explaination below. When I went to return one of my items they tried to give me store credit to, but I asked for a manager and showed them where it was stated on the packing slip. I got all of it returned to my cc. Maybe you just have to look at the fine print–I don’t know?!?
