This week at Big Lots they have select Hasbro Games advertised at only $5.00! If you receive the Big Lots Ad in your Sunday newspaper, this is a great deal to price match at Target or Walmart! Plus, you can use your $4.00 of Hasbro Coupons to make the deal even sweeter! Here’s how:

Purchase Toy Story 3 Operation $5.00 (Price Match to Big Lots Ad)
Use the $4.00 off of one Hasbro Operation Game Coupon (also found in the 09-11-11 SS)
Total cost only $1.00!

Battleship $5.00  (Price Match to Big Lots Ad)
Use the $4.00 off of one Habsbro Battleship Game Coupon (also found in the 09-11-11 SS)

Now when I went to my store they were already sold out from all the crazy price matching deals everyone was doing last week…but you may have better luck than me! Also, don’t forget that if you do come across these games it might be nice to purchase an extra one to donate around Christmas!

  3. For military families you can also price match at your local exchange and they accept coupons! And no add needed!

  7. When did Target start price matching?

    • They’ve price matched for a while.. but it is a lot more difficult as you have to go to the customer service desk. You can’t go through the line.. and their policy isn’t as well formed as Walmart’s. For me, it has always been a hassle… so I just do it at Walmart.

  8. Head’s up, I have read some Target stores will not price match a Big Lots price/ad since they are technically a “close out” store. Good luck to everyone, I might try my luck this week.

  9. Has anyone seen the Buzz Operation game in any SLC Walmarts? I know my local Target had them on clearance earlier this summer, so I doubt they have any in stock.

  11. I was on here checking the grocery deals yesterday and found this just as I was about to leave. My Walmart had three of both games. I took two of each. I don’ t get their ad either but luckily they were in a good mood yesterday and decided to do it! Battleship was priced at $14.97 and Operation was $12.97. I was so excited! Thanks Melea

  12. I just went to Target to get the Toy Story Operation and they said that they DO NOT allow coupns to be used with the price match policy. I called the corporate number to see if this is correct and they said that it’s true that you can’t use a coupon with the price match. I went to Walmart and they allowed it, however.

  13. I went to my walmart and they wouldn’t match it because they said it was a discount store. I thought they priced matched all ads… And they only told me they wouldn’t accept it after discussing the price. I was kind of mad!

  14. I have three close Walmarts in my area, and they all said the same thing, that even though there is a Big Lots within 3-10 miles of them, they say they aren’t a competetor. So they won’t match it. Is there something in the policy that I can point out to see if they would follow it then? I really would like to get these for this price!

    • I was just reading Wal-Mart’s price matching policy the other day. Sadly its up to the store manager to determine what is considered competition for their store. ðŸ™

  15. Hmmm, I have a friend who works at my local Walmart, I’m going to check with her. Their policy does say “competitors” soI guess they can say that Big Lots is not a competitor. I’ll let you know what I find out.

      • My Walmart, Salem NH, said that they price match anything and everything, I asked my manager friend who works there. You do NOT have to have the ad with you. IF they think you are trying to pull one over on them, they will call the store and ask the price of the item. I will be running there later today, see if I can find these two games!!

  18. I actually got two operations for one dollar each and they let me price match Connect 4 launchers, which we had a $5 off coupon for, so that one was free!!!! I ended spending $33 yesterday at the Taylorsville, UT Walmart on over $100 worth of groceries and the 3 games thanks to coupons!!! The lady behind me in line was really impressed! Thanks for everything you do Melea 🙂

  19. So I went to my wal mart and the assistant store manager said they couldn’t price match because big lots was out of stock of the games and that was their policy. I asked to see the policy and no where on it said anything about something being out of stock. She told me it was the “basic” policy and that the store manager could have their own policy to add to it! She was so rotten to me. She also told me that they couldn’t price match because big lots was a closeout store.
