Am still trying to figure out what “good” prices are for some items. They have the Tide 65 load liquid for $12 each, buy 2 and get a $5 gift card. Is that a good deal? Especially combined with the $2 off coupons we got a couple of weeks ago??

Not sure why Melea didn’t post about this on the Target list, but on the back of my ad this week there is an advertisement about a FREE $20.00 GIFT CARD w/purchase of TWO 160-180 ct. PAMPERS SWADDLERS sizes 1 or 2 OR 92-144 ct. PAMPERS CRUISERS sizes 3-6 boxes of diapers. (Ad says the boxes are $35 each)
I went to my Target today thinking they were going to be gone quick, but they weren’t and Target didn’t even have any tags by the diapers stating the FREE gift card. AND the most expensive diaper boxes I saw were only 29.99. So I checked out and the computer didn’t prompt the girl for the Free Gift Card so I asked her about it and showed her my ad so after calling a few people they had no problem doing it for me!!!!
So I just got two 104 ct PAMPERS CRUISERS size 4 for 29.99 each and used my two $2.00/1 swaddlers, cruisers diaper box coupons from 7/31/11 sunday papers (not sure which coupon insert it was from.) And received a FREE $20 Gift Card to Target.
You pay: 55.98 but get a FREE $20 gift card so like paying $17.99 for each box!!

Lynne – I’m not an expert….yet. But to help you out, I usually have noticed that Tide 100 oz. goes on sale for $9.00-$10.00, I hardly see it lower then that. I don’t know how many loads that is, but maybe you could go off that. Hope that helps a little.

I was just looking at the target coupon policy and I noticed where it says “Coupon amount may be reduced if it exceeds the value of the item after other discounts or coupons are applied” and “We can’t give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase value of the item”. Does that mean any overage from a coupon won’t go towards the overall price? And if that’s the case, I’ve noticed you’ve posted + prices on the target ads sometimes. Is it only if the entire transaction is over or each item?

Hey Janae, the policy does say that. So it just depends on your cashier actually. I have some you give me the full value of my coupon and others who have to adjust it down. It also depends on whether it scans without a problem, or if you are only purchasing free items and if the register beeps at you.
