I posted about this a while ago, but thought I’d remind you all about it again! Especially since every month Barnes & Noble adds new titles. So if you checked it out last time and your kids listened to everything, you may want to give it a try again. This month they have added “The Kissing Hand” by Audrey Penn.

If you are looking for something to help entertain your kids this summer & also like to encourage reading, you’ll want to check out this freebie! You can go online to Barnes & Noble and play their online story time selections for your children for FREE!

Books being read include Fancy Nancy, Where the Wild Things Are, Pinkalicious & Alexander The Terrible. A lot of the books are read by the authors themselves, which is kind of fun!

It seems they are adding new titles all the time so keep checking back for more!

** Note: Once the reading starts, you can click on the “scale video” tab so that the book fills the entire screen.

  1. I tried to play a story and it didn’t work, now I just get a blank screen and nothing is showing up at all. Is this happening to anyone else??

    • Glad to know it wasn’t just me then! I was bummed too, I brought my kids over and was excited to show it to them and it didn’t work! They were bummed too! Hopefully they’ll fix it soon, it looks like such a great idea!

  3. I sat my little ones down too and was disappointed…until I figured out a little trick. Click play on whatever story you want to hear, then click on either low quality or high quality, whichever one isn’t picked yet. Then it starts! Every time a story finished, I would have to do this. Not sure why, but at least my kids got to hear a bunch of stories!!

  5. I tried what people suggested above but it didn’t work for me when I was using Mozilla Firefox but when I switched over to Internet Explorer it worked. My 5 year old son was thrilled to see one of his favorite books from the Trucktown series Smash! Crash!. I am excited to let my daughter listen to Pinkalicious when she wakes up. Thanks for the info.
