BIG UPDATE: It looks like this offer has changed and is only availalable at the Utah Tooele Location, ALL California and ALL D.C. locations only. And with all of these areas, I would still call before you head over to make sure they are participating! I’ll let you know if I hear any more, but as of right now, those are the only confirmed participating locations.

If your Cafe Rio is in a different area and is doing it, awesome!! GO with what your store is saying.. The updated information is what Corporate Cafe Rio sent me in an email. But, they could be changing things. So, this is a deal you will definitely want to call and verify by store before you go.

Too bad that they aren’t offering this in all of their locations…:( I just let my hubby who is a high school principal know about this (we’re in Utah, SLC). He forwarded the link to his staff also, and let them know about the update on the locations. Too bad… It would be great if they offered this in the greater SLC area in the future…:)

Yeah my Mom is a teacher and yesterday one staff member took ALL of their badges and went to cafe rio to get them all lunch. But I bet they change now cause they gave out so many free lunches yesterday.
You guys need to stop being dumb.

Nothing personal- I just think things should be verified before I go sending my staff to get a free meal which they end up having to pay for. We don’t have a surplus of money for things like lunch out, and now I have caused some of my struggling employees to suffer a little more because of misinformation. Nothing against her personally, just have a crew of people angry at me. It’s just frustrating and could be avoided in the future (the cafe rio in Draper was downright rude).

I call and verify EVERYTHING before I actually go. We can’t expect Melea to do it for us. Plus….blame Cafe Rio….they should have more clear in what they posted.

Sheesh, you guys are a bit harsh! I know in the future that I need to verify and not trust what I read here. I never attacked Melea or said she didn’t do a good job! I just think things should be accurate before they are posted and people take time out of their days to get the deals posted. And I had a lot of people mad at me. Not a great way to start the school year. Believe me, I will not make this mistake again. 🙂

I did forward this to my mother-in-law who’s a teacher, but I’ll let her know to call beforehand to verify. I agree with the others. Melea can only do so much, but it’s our job to verify 🙂
I do know that the West Valley City, UT Chick-fil-a is doing teacher appreciation this week also and giving free meals from 5-9, so maybe check your local Chick-fil-a’s website under “Events” and see if they are participating too.
