CVS Coupon Policy Changes!

For all of my CVS Shoppers out there, the time has come- unfortunately. CVS has changed a few things about their coupon policy.  CVS does not have a link on their website for a coupon policy.  You have to email them to get one sent to you.  So all of you who do shop there, will need to do that ASAP.

Basically, here are the changes:

  • You CANNOT use a BOGO coupon along with another Dollar-Off coupon.
  • You CANNOT use 2 coupons on a BOGO sale.
  • You CAN use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale.
  • You CAN use a BOGO coupon and a CVS coupon on a sale.

It looks like it will take all of the stores a few weeks before being on the same page.  But, don’t be surprised if your CVS has already implemented the changes and will not accept coupons the way you used to do them.

(Thanks We Use Coupons for the info!)

  1. My CVS does not accept the CVS coupons along with another coupon. They never had even though they are “supposed” to according to the coupon policy I had received from corporate months ago.

    • I had the same problem at Rite Aid one time and just called the corporate office just to ensure I was understanding their coupon policy correctly. The lady that answered was very helpful and sent me a gift card for my troubles. Once I told my store I called the office about the policy and that I was correct, the store let me use the coupons. Hope this works for you, too.

  2. Hi! how does a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale work? Is that mean I get 2 items totally free or pay for one and grab two more for free instead of only one at the end?

    • Both items are free, you just pay any sales tax

  3. Well, I guess I’m glad I was able to score my Wisk detergent on the BOGO sale with 2 coupons last week. It makes me sad to see these changes coming about…I really wish that TLC had never aired that dumb show and brought such negative attention to couponing and created so many uneducated couponers…

    • I’m from Louisiana , until the show aired you had no problem , now Krogers and Walmart here pick the coupons to death, wasn’t trying to do anything wrong in the beginning but now they ahve set the cash regiaster to alert when the coupon is for more that the item and the checker want sto give you a hard time

    • It’s horrible here in Florida-so bad I’m embarrassed to be a couponer! (couponing for 10+ years BTW) We are having so many issues with shelf cleaners too. So bad I have literally 87 rain checks in my coupon binder over the past months that are going to expire because the local warehouses are out of the product 🙠Does someone really need 300 bottles of laundry detergent (true story-she bought 300 bottles of detergent from 1 store without special ordering). It’s so sad-that show has really brought out some crazies in my town.

  4. Do you have the email address to get the CVS policy, I cannot seem to find it on their website, maybe I am having a blonde moment.

  5. I went to CVS this morning to get two Digiornio pizzas that are advertised 2/10. I had a coupon I got at Kroger on the freezer door that was $3 off 2 Digiornio pizzas. It was a manufacturer coupon so I saved it for a sale. When I tried to use it at CVS, the register wouldn’t take it. It said items not sold or something like that. The cashier said they have changed their policy to show that some items on sale won’t allow a coupon. The same thing happened when I went to Walgreens today and tried to use $1 off coupon on Scott towels that the store had on sale for $4. Walgreens took it anyway but I am wondering if this has happened to anyone.

    • The UPC on the coupon you got from Kroger most likely isn’t in another store’s system, and only in Kroger’s system, for the coupon to be used at Kroger only.
