Reminder, this is today!  Only two weeks left.

The “$2 Tuesdays” August promo is coming soon to Thanksgiving Point! Every Tuesday in August means just $2 admission to each of these venues: Museum of Ancient Life, Farm Country, or The Thanksgiving Point Gardens. This is one of my favorite things about August- it’s so much fun and such a great deal! Be sure to mark every Tuesday on you calendar so you don’t miss out!

These days are very popular, so I recommend getting there early (or even going late….) to make the most of your trip. I have some friends that go each Tuesday and visit a new venue each week! Children 2 and under get in FREE.

I so agree!!!! Never again will we go on one of these days….

  3. I like to save money, but I agree that this “deal” is NOT worth it. It is WAY too packed to be any fun for the kids whatsoever. Who wants to be stuck in a hot sweaty mosh pit with kids?

  4. Gee whiz people, Melea is only trying to help you save money and give you ideas for cheap summer fun, maybe you should only leave comments if they are positive comments!

  5. We went last year to the dino museum around 5 o’clock, dinner time, and it wasn’t bad at all. Its well worth it for our family to get in for $8 rather than $30

  6. I’m not being critical of Melea- just trying to let other mom’s who see this deal know what they are in for. I wish someone had told me last year.

    • These days are busy, but if you’re up for a lot of walking, the Gardens are really spread out and huge- so crowds are not much of an issue once you get past the Noah’s Ark fountain!

  7. I actually appreciate the “critical” comments. I was thinking about going until I read the comments about how crowded it is. Now… I am not interested! Thanks again, I always appreciate the comments 🙂

    • I agree! I love when people who have experience add their two cents. The comments on this site help a ton. I almost always make my final decision about whether or not to go for deals based on comments. I have four kids ages 5, 4,2, and a baby so I would not be up for a lot of walking and am grateful to know about the crowds. It definitely wouldn’t be worth it for me.

  8. We went every Tuesday in August last year and the only thing that was crowded was the dinosaur museum. And really, the only part that was crowded were the water/sand features. We went about an hour to an hour and a half before closing and it was. The weather wasn’t too hot and lots of people had already come and gone for the day.

    • Do they allow people to bring food? Do they have picnic tables in the gardens?
I have never been to Thanksgiving point. I thought it might be fun to go late and have a picnic dinner.

      • I don’t remember picnic tables, but there are lots of benches and grassy spots in the gardens.

        • They allow food in the farm and the gardens, not in the dino museum and if I’m remembering right, there are some little tables over by the big waterfall, but only a few. There are PLENTY of nice open grassy areas to sit though.

  9. I also went last year to the dinosaur Muesuem, I went about 5-6 and I didnt think it was horrible.
    I would do it again.

  10. Me and my boys went today to take advantage of this deal. So affordable! Especially since I drove an hour to get there. It was crowded but FUN! We really liked finding fossils in the Quarry. That wasn’t as crowded either.

  11. We went today! Busy? Yes! But unbearable? No! We got there right before it opened and went to the venue we wanted to start at and it was a very nice day! Did the wagon ride among the first things- and that was great because later it looked more crowded. Loved it! Thanks for the heads up Melea!

  12. Had a great time doing this yesterday! Thanks for the heads up on this deal. The kids loved it and that is all that matters to me (packed or not).

  13. My husband and I took our 3 year old. We went in the evening around 6:30 like some had suggested and it wasn’t bad at all. Well worth the hour drive it took to get there.

  14. I have gone several times this during this promo this month. Each time has been great. We just go between 5:30-6 and stay until close. It hasn’t been too busy at all in the evenings. My daughters loves it! Also, since many schools are back in session days might be better the next two weeks.

  15. We went last Tuesday, and it wasn’t all that crowded. The fossil dig was really fun. The line to get into the dinosaur museum was long, but it was fine once we got inside.
