Utah: Kmart Double Coupon Days! (Price Match at Walmart!)

DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission.

This week, Kmart is doing their Double Coupons Days!  (Valid June 19th-25th) You can get any coupon under $.99 to double.

Examples:
$0.25 = $0.50
$0.50 = $1.00
$0.75 = $1.50
$1.00 = $1.00

I don’t usually like to post about this event because it is a serious joke.  Every time I have posted about it on Freebies2Deals, all of the readers complain about how Kmart made it so difficult or wouldn’t honor the double coupon promotion.  It is just more trouble than it’s worth, in my opinion.

But, Facebook Fan Krista pointed out that Walmart locations will more than likely Price match the Kmart Double Coupon Days!  So, call up your Walmart and ask.  If you don’t live in Utah County, here is your chance to double coupons.  And, if you do, this is your chance to go before everything is sold out on Tuesdays!

**If you get verification that a specific Utah Walmart will match the Kmart Double Coupon Days promo, leave it in the comments so others know too!

If you guys decide to call up your Walmart stores and ask, make sure that you ask for the Customer Service Manager and state that Kmart is doing Double Coupon Days this entire week. And, since they price match, if they will be doing the same in order to price match with Kmart? Some stores will say no immediately because they are unaware of a competing store doing a double coupon promo. So make sure they understand why you are asking.

(Thanks Cuckoo for Coupon Deals)

  3. The Clinton Walmart said absolutely not! They were so rude, she said “We never ever double coupons!” so I responded I know the Utah County ones do once in a while. Then she started yelling saying there was no way they do that! Crazy! I might be driving up to Brigham City! 🙂

    • GRRR…I live right around the corner from Clinton Walmart (by the court house) I make a point of driving down to Riverdale because they are so rude at Clinton I never have any problems at Riverdale

  4. So you are saying that some Wal marts may allow double couponing because Kmart is?

    Reply
    • Right, because they want to be competitive with their Price Match Policy.

  5. I called the Logan Walmart. They said they won’t double them, either.

  6. I won’t even bother with K-Mart anymore. Their prices on even small items are way more than Walmart! Even doubling coupons don’t bring the prices down to a competitive price most the time. I’ve also had too other many problems with K-Mart. I went to a K-Mart recently that was going out of business here in Utah, and their prices were still rather high! I swear they raised them even more and then said things were at 50% off, just to get people in there!

  13. If you look at the coupon ad match policy they have posted on the registers it DOES state that they DO NOT honor double coupon value coupons. I was bummed too, BUT, I do have to say that I have never had an issue with the ad-match or the coupon taking at my Tooele wal-mart. 🙂 I was actually told by several cashiers that it is considered harassment to ask for proof of the ad if it is on a FOOD item and is within a resonable discounted price.

  14. ok so I don’t know about the K-mart double coupon days but here in washington county we have Albertson’s sunday mailers that often(not every week but often) come with 3 doubler COUPONS so you can take them to Wal-mart and they will use it like they would a competitors coupon… but don’t save the coupons til the end of transaction because they can’t just scan them into their register, they have to manually change the price like they would when they are price matching. I need to go shopping now…

  15. Talked to Layton CSM & she said they never would because their Walmart doesn’t get the same manufacturer coupon deals as the Riverton Walmart (that does match). Neighborhood Mkt. In Layton wouldn’t answer the phone.

  16. Orem Walmart will double this whole week but only up to $1 not $1.50, still good though 🙂

  17. So for most of you pros out there…is it worth going to Kmart? I’ve never shopped at Kmart with coupons so I don’t know if it will be worth the drive. I live about 15 miles away so do I try it?

    Reply
    • Nope I don’t think it’s worth it…I believe they’re prices are too high even with the double coupon. Just my opinion though.

    • I think it depends on who the cashier is. I hate going to Kmart, but there are certain cashiers who aren’t jerks. But I also live in Richfield.

      • |Did you try the Richfield kmart then for the doublers? I didn’t know that they were doing anything for the doublers so now I am curious. I might go shopping if so but don’t really want to waste my time if it is going to be too ridiculous since I will have 3 kids with me 5 and under!!!

  18. I was shopping at Kmart yesterday, trying to get some of the good deals and I spoke with TWO employees who told me they are not doubling coupons this week. When the cashier rang up my order, guess what? All the coupons doubled! It was the most frustrating trip I’ve made using coupons since I became a serious couponer back in Feb. It is an interesting thing when Kmart doesn’t inform their own employees about their coupon specials!

    • I noticed that it goes off of your rewards card and automatically does it, so the employees never know until the register shows it. I have actually had nice cashiers who tell me to get different cards so that I can double more.

  19. I work at a Kmart, and most double coupons go without a hitch. However, we do have a customer who always tries to use more then one coupon for the same item, and she can’t do that. She always comes in just before closing and figures we’ll give it to her, just to get her out of there. It doesn’t work that way. Also, any cashier who encourage a customer to get more then one card will be fired if caught. It’s against the reward card policy to have more then one per person. If someone gives a phone number for their rewards card for one transaction and then wants us to scan a card for the next transaction so that he/she can use more coupons, then the person who has that other card has to be there. Right now, that isn’t an issue, cause you can use as many coupons as you want up to 99 cents, but sometimes they are up to $2, and then we have a 5 coupon limit.
