Depends on the cashier. I was told not to plan on doing that, that they were telling people it took a few hours to activate the card. the the cashier I had told me to use it so I did.

I’m in Layton and I always use the gift card right after in a second transaction. I’ve never heard that you would have to wait and haven’t had too.

Brianna – I have always been able to use mine right away. It does have to be used on a SEPARATE transaction though so what you want to do should work. I just always split my shopping according to how many cards I am getting and want to use and do the transactions one right after the other.

If you received the Target “Big Honkin’ Deals” Coupon book/ad in the mail, among the coupons in there is a 50 cents of two Market Pantry juices, so that would make apple juice $1.59 (down from $1.84).

In Utah, my 6/05 SS has the $2 off any John Freida product, and not the $5 off coupon. I think the coupon is different depending on where you live.

The deal on the John Frieda didn’t work out quite right for me, though I still did good. One of the $5 coupons would only ring it at $2.97, she said that is because then the store would have owed me money, and they won’t do that. I paid $2 but got the $5 gift card, so I still made $3 on the deal. Still doesn’t make sense to me why, might try it again at another store, see what happens there. It actually should have been free, but whatever. I don’t yet have the handle on couponing to fight with them about them. And the cashier was just too nice to give a hard time to. 🙂

I am completely new to couponing but I love it and I’m so thankful for all the deals you post! It’s helped me out so much! Just wanted to let you know that at my Target, there are Venus Embrace Razors (the 1 Razor and 1 Cartridge in the purple packaging) that are marked down to 4.99 each. They work for the $5 gift card, so when you use 2 of the $2 off coupons, you pay 5.98 but get $5 so it’s like 98 cents for 2 razors or 49 cents each!
