I’m new to swagbucks and can’t really figure out how everyone gets so many points? What do you search for and are the points awarded randomly? Do you just type in words? Sorry, I’m just kind of lost…

I only use the Swagbucks search engine to search instead of Google. Every now and then they will reward me with Swagbucks when I do that. Just use their search engine whenever you need to search. Points are awarded randomly… so just use it everytime. I wouldnt just type in random words… that won’t help you get them.
Referring friends with your referral code will help you earn points whenever your friends do. So that is a great way to earn points too!

I know right! I know it’s a good program because I have a lot of friends who get gift cards all the time, but I’ve been doing it for a week and only get 1 point a day. So I’m obviously not doing something right…

You get 1 point just for logging into their site. If you go to the “earn” tab, there are other optons to get points. The daily poll will also give you 1 point for answering 1 question on the day it was posted. Sometimes just by clicking on the daily deals or survey page you will be awarded a point. If you do the NOSO, even if you don’t accept an offer, you will recieve 1 or 2 points. Completing surveys will gain you quite a few points, but you have to qualify first and then searching will give you a random amount of points at random times. There is also the swagbuck code that they will put out and if you find it and enter the code in within the time they allow, they will award a different amount of points.

I’m relatively new to Swagbucks as well. Every day you can get 1 point for using the toolbar, one point for opening the surveys page under Earn, and one point for taking the daily poll. Then a couple times a day I search over and over in the search engine (typing whatever comes to mind) for a couple minutes until I win swagbucks, usually 7-11 at a time. It works every 4 hours or so. The most points I get are from purchasing deals through things like Living Social or Groupon that are also offered through Swagbucks. But in general I just get about 20 a day from the random searches I do! It really is random. I even let my 1-year-old type letters on the keyboard, hitting enter every once in awhile, and she wins swagbucks! You can also watch SwagTV but it’s kinda a waste–you watch 10 videos and only get about 3 swagbucks. (You can open and run the videos and then use the internet on another tab if you want.) So those are a few strategies. I don’t think I’ll be paying for my Christmas this way but I might get a few $5 Amazon gift cards by the end of the year.

Another great way to earn Swagbucks is printing off coupons (under the Earn tab) from the Swagbucks page. They are the same Coupon.com coupons that F2D often mentions, so not only do you get the deals from this website, but you get the Swagbucks too! It takes quite awhile for them to post to your account, but they’re worth 10 Swagbucks each.

Just noticed if you buy the $2 for 5 movies rentals from Blockbuster Express you get 160 SB. Just click on Daily Deals and it’s about halfway down the page. Wish there was a kiosk near me. Grrrrr.

I do the $5 Amazon gift cards and I think it took the longest to get to my first reward (450 SB). After that it seemed to come a lot faster. Use the search engine exclusively. Referrals are key, you get all the points they get when they search (up to 1000). Also, if you can qualify for surveys, they add up fast. You can also update your profile in surveys, those are worth 5-10 points each. Coupons are great, too. Sometimes they pick up Groupon deals and that is the BEST!
I’ve earned $50 in Amazon cards now and I just started the middle of January. Come Christmas, those are certainly going to come in handy!

For all the new people it would be benificial for “follow” swagbucks on facebook. There is also a “swagbucks for dummies” website that is VERY helpful. I have been doing this since February and so far I have cashed in 10 $5.00 amazon gift cards. I am waiting for 3 more to post and i still have $3,170 swagbucks in my account!
