I few weeks ago, we started the Freebies2Deals Meals Posts on the site.  It combined coupons, with grocery items on sale that will make a meal for your family during the week.  We had a lot of people who were interested in that.  However, there hasn’t been much feedback on it since we started.  I need to know whether this is something the majority of you still use and still want to have on the site.

Please take 10 seconds and click whether or not you would still like to see the Freebies2Deals Meals Posts on the website.  Thanks so much everyone!

  1. I would use the meals post if the meals were less expensive. Under $5. I already have a lot of recipes I like in the price range you’ve been posting. I appreciate your effort putting it together though!

  2. Melea,
I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work at the Coupon conference on Saturday. You have motivated me to give couponing a second try, as I really want to cut down on my grocery bill. I know you had said Saturday that you plan your weekly meals from your food storage, but for those of us who don’t have ours stocked up yet, do you just shop the best store deals with coupons on top of that to get your stockpile going, as well as planning your meals around? I do like your recipes for the week, I just can’t wait to get to the point where I have my 6 mos. food storage and planning around that! Thanks so much!

  4. I definitely would love to have the meals post. It helps me learn how to plan meals out of what items are on sale-something I am not very good at right now. Thanks!

  5. I LOVE the meal posts. I’m pretty new to couponing and love getting all the deals, but I’m not good at planning my meals around them. Usually I shop the deals PLUS go regular grocery shopping for my weekly meals. It helps me out SO much when I see exactly what I need and how to feed my family for cheap! Thank you for ALL your hard work!!!

  8. Please excuse me for being dumb, but I can’t seem to find a link that goes directly to all of the Meals from Deals? It would be helpful if were at the top up by the give-a-ways, coupons, etc. Somewhere easy to see! 🙂

  11. Loving the meal ideas. Wish the second question had the option of “sometimes.” There were one or two recipes that didn’t interest me.

  15. While I haven’t tried the recipes yet, I always LOVE new ideas and COMPLETELY LOVE that the meal is based on coupons/sales that are currently in progress. I’m still new-ish to couponing and it’s SO incredibly helpful to have that as a direction — so many times I just clip coupons and then I’m like, okay now what? There are so many different stores and options, it’s so great to hear about ideas making THE MOST of what’s out there. My husband, checkbook and I appreciate this fantastic idea!

  16. Melea,

I love the Crispy Asparagus Fries – I have made these several times and my husband loves them! The recipe was completely new to me and so nice to try a different way to cook asparagus. The Chicken Salad Sandwiches were also fantastic! Please keep the Freebies2Deals Meals !

  20. I love them, and the only thing I would change is the freguency of them (to more often) 😉 I don’t think they are to expensive at all, some under $5 might be nice but I don’t think that is a reasonable meal budget ALL the time for a family of 4 or 6. Maybe you could have readers send you them too, so you don’t always have the headache of putting them all together. We could all help each other out, so there is a nice variety of types of food, price ranges etc. I would LOVE to see THAT on here.
