Everything you need for this meal can be purchased at Target, or price matched at Walmart this week! Remember to check your stockpiles before heading to Target, you may have some on hand already from previous stock-up price sales. (With my own stockpile, the only thing I had to purchase were the Strawberries. The rest are all items we have gotten incredible deals on the past few months I have stocked up on.)
Purchase 1 lb. Fresh Strawberries $1.99
Plus, Purchase 38-oz Gold’n Plump Family Pack Chicken Breast $7.99
Total Cost $8.99
Recipe: Chicken With Strawberry & Black Pepper Sauce
10-15 Strawberries (about 2 cups)
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (or 2 garlic cloves)
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 cup chicken broth
1 teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon butter
pinch of salt
Grill chicken breasts, or cook in a sauce pan with about 1 tablespoon of oil. Cook chicken about 7 minutes per side until golden brown and juices run clear.
Puree strawberries in food processor or blender until smooth. Heat butter in sauce pan over medium-low heat. Add garlic, pepper, strawberry puree, chicken stock, Worcestershire sauce, sugar and salt. Let sauce boil and reduce by at least half.
Drizzle over chicken and serve!

just an FYI for everyone — at the Tooele Walmart the strawberries had been knocked down to $1.00/pound! I don’t know if they other Walmarts have the same thing going, but the Tooele one does. 🙂
