Double Coupon Tuesday at Utah County Walmarts!

DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission.

It’s Tuesday again, and that means that that  Walmarts locations in Utah County will be doubling coupons today to “price match” with Ridleys!

Last week, Freebies2Deals readers confirmed that Cedar Hills, American Fork, Lindon, Pleasant Grove and Orem are all  participating.  This is how it works.

Any coupon under $1.00 will be doubled.

Example:

  • $.25 off will be doubled to $.50 off
  • $.30 off will be doubled to $.60 off
  • $.50 will be doubled to $1.00 off
  • $.75 will be doubled to $1.00 off**That’s the cap.

Let us know if you score any amazing deals while you are there.  We should have some great coupons to double this week.  Just make sure you tell your cashier before they start scanning that you are doubling coupons because of Ridleys.  They should know what to do!

**Plan on a LONG time checking out.  A lot of people will be doing this and they have to manually enter in the double coupon.

  2. I had heard that they would only price match what was in the ad at Ridley’s. Is this not the case? Are they doubling on any product now? Any input would help, as I have to travel a ways:)

  3. Marcus, I go to the Lindon Walmart and they are price matching anything, and you can use coupons on anything.

    • So, yes plan extra time! I was late picking up my daughter from school trying to check out! I had all my stuff rang up and we had to start all over again!! Tips to make things go better:
1)Tell the checker ahead of time that you have coupons and that you are DOUBLING them!
      2) have things sorted, they need to have the item that matches the coupon with the coupon so they can figure out how to adjust the price to match the coupon.
      3) be on the ball and watch when the are ringing things up.
      4) be polite, and patient. This is new for them and they are slowly learning the rules and how to do it. 5)Allow time!!

  6. The walmart in Orem is price matching and doubling coupons (.75 goes to 1.50, if you have a .99 coupon that would go to 1.88)!!!!! Let’s just say I scored today!!!!! Some deals included: Mr. Clean all -purpose cleanser 1.97, with .75 coupon= .47. Halls cough drops I made .33, BestLife butter .98, Betty Crocker potatoes .28. It is time consuming, but to me it was worth it!! The CSM’s there were amazingly helpful.

  7. WoW! Wish I had known about this earlier today, but I just got online. Bummer. I bet lots of people scored big today. Does anyone know if this will be happening every Tuesday? Also, is the Saratoga Springs Walmart participating?

    • Yes. But you have to pick either price matching or coupon doubling. They don’t do both at Saratoga. Also- they only price match up to a dollar. So $.75=$1.00 NOT $$1.50

      • Ummmm my experience two weeks in a row (not today) was that Saratoga price matches AND doubles.
It does take a long time, you do have to be completely prepared. Basically the check stands there with a calculator, you tell her the matched price, she subtracts the coupon amount and enters that as the ‘matched price’ then she will scan your actual coupon. (of course, for 75 cent coupons, she just subtracts 25cents…but, you get the idea)

        • At the Saratoga Springs store, I was told by an employee who was “directing traffic” a few weeks ago when they started that they will NOT price match AND double since doubling is already a price match. Unless you are price matching something from the ridley’s ad (and doubling since you are also matchingtheir ad to double). Makes sense to me. By the way, Saratoga is always cleared out, even at 9 or 10 the night before.

  8. I asked my cashier at the Payson Walmart yesterday if they were participating in this and she said they were, but you couldn’t price match and then use a coupon, it had to be their stores original price.

  9. Will all Walmarts be doing double coupons? How do we get it done in Davis County?

  12. I scored some free speed stick deodorant, captain crunch, pizza, fuze drinks and a bunch more super cheap stuff like purex for .97!!! At the AF Walmart they won’t let you price match and double.

  13. The Springville Walmart is also doing this. We were told that if you price match they will not double but you can price match and use a coupon (just not double the coupon). We have really gotten some great deals this way.

  14. If you have a coupon for 1.50 will they give you 1.00? I have a $2.00 coupon, will they give me an additional dollar? Also, do all Ut. County Walmarts do this on Tuesdays? Any suggestions on which Walmart handles this better? Thanks

  15. I live in Syracuse, so going to utah county is about a 2 hour drive….If Walmart is doubling there only, it would be worth the drive if a few went together. I think it would be fun just to try it and see what happens…
Is Riddleys a local store down there?? So they match Riddleys price and double up to a dollar? If anyone would like to go for a drive, let me know…it would be fun to see how it works. Maybe calling our local Walmarts will get them on board.
It is definately depressing to watch “Extreme couponing” and know I can’t do that without doubles… If you take all your coupons it would be easy to see what you could get for free or really a good deal. Thanks for the info… Let me know if anyone is interested in heading down…one of these tues.
