Update:  This has already turned into a big mess like I was worried about.  It seems that this location mentioned below may be changing its mind after already confirming it to multiple deal bloggers. So, before you get too excited, wait until Monday when I hopefully have more info and the FINAL word.

Heads up! Looks like some Walmarts in Salt Lake County will start to double coupons on Tuesdays in the near future. And, one already is on 5675 W 6200 S in Salt Lake City. So stay tuned. Your double coupon wishes may be coming soon! Ill let you know when I hear more.

Not sure if all locations will be participating.  But I will let you know the second I know for sure. YAY for double coupon Tuesdays!

(Thanks Lucinda)

  1. I live right by this Walmart and go there just about every day but have not seen or heard that they are doing this. Can you confirm how you got this info?

    • Yes, the manager has given this information out. Check with them when you go in next time too.

  2. How can we get the Wal-Mart’s in Davis County to double??

    • To get the Walmarts in Davis county to jump on board….I think if all of us that live in this area would ask the store manager, assistant managers, next time we are in the store if they would be willing to or are thinking about participating in the double coupon tuesdays. I think if they heard from enough of us, it may sway their decision. Strength in numbers, right!! Plus, they want happy customers. I know atleast for me, I’ve been driving down to Utah County (with my husbands free gas in his company car) to take advantage of the double coupons. So, my Centerville store is missing out on sales opportunities from me, as I am taking business I’d normally give them to another store. All of the Walmart stores compete against each other- Managers make bonuses based off margin, sales, and sales growth of the store. So, they want us shopping in their store- not going to another store. So, all of you that live in Davis county- just ASK next time you’re in the store. I think if enough of us are asking, they will listen.

  5. I live near this walmart also and spoke with 3 walmart managers and regionals and they said that they are totally unaware of this also? So I figured that people here in SLC werent hoplessly going crazy about this too, I would really love this to happen so much more then the next coupon shopper right here in SLC. However I figured I’d call the Walmart corporate office and they said that they will get back with me and honestly it has been 1 month going to 3 months? So I am very curious were this idea has come about and “yes” it would be so nice that the double coupon policy moved here in WVC. So instead of all of us having to take a long grocey trip to Utah county, Tooele county has an Alberstons that still does double coupon days or weeks only, please keep in mind that Tooele is almost the same distance if not closer driving distance then going to Utah County. You can also get there coupons on line with your manufacture coupons too. So if anyone is very curious about Walmart doing double couponing in the WVC or SLC location you can call the corporate store, they will set us all straight call 1-800-WALMART (925-6278) or go to their website for more information on this matter other wise just throwing fictious info out there isnt good customer relations on coupon shoppers.
