**If you haven’t purchased a Restaurant.com Gift Certificate before, this is how it works. Each restaurant will have different fine print. Some will have a minimum purchase required or a specific day that you can eat.
If the fine print says that you have to spend at least $25 in order to use your Restaurant.com Gift Certificate, think if you would have already spent that amount normally on the people who are eating. If you would have, then it is a great buy. You can purchase your discounted Gift Certificate, and not worry about meeting the minimum requirements, because you know you already will.
Now, some of the higher end restaurants will say you have to spend a minimum of $50. If there are only two of you eating, chances are you may not hit that $50 unless you buy more food than you were planning on- which isn’t that great of a deal. So think about all of these things when you are purchasing. If done right, you really can save a lot of money eating out!

Thank you so much! I was able to get 4 date nights for $12! Even with the little extra we have to spend at the restaurant to meet the minimum spending amount, we will be able to order sodas and dessert, and still spend less!

I have never done this so do you know if they each have their own expiration date and if so, does it state you have to use it before such and such a time before you make your purchase?

They all expire one date from the day you purchase. But each one has different stipulations on minimum amount spent before you can use the GC.

What’s with the deal with the gratuity? It says 18% added before discount. Does that mean I have 18% less on the certificate from the start, or does it mean I have an extra 18% of the bill to pay after?

The Gratuity is just the tip amount you leave your server. So, instead of tipping on the total bill after coupons. You are supposed to tip on the total bill before coupons.

We have friends visiting us this weekend and I was able to purchase a $50 gift certificate for $5.00 for a thank you gift and one for our family AND a $25.00 certificate for us to take them to dinner….
