Recipe: Goulash
1lb Ground Beef or Turkey
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 cans diced tomatoes (I used a potato masher on mine to crush them up a bit more)
2 cups water
1/2 package of noodles (I used shells but you can use whatever shaped pasta you have on hand)
2 cups frozen corn

?Brown beef and set aside. In large pot, combine 2 cans of diced tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, and water. Bring to a boil and add 1/2 package of shell pasta. Cover, reduce heat and let simmer for 10-12 minutes or until pasta is tender. Add corn and beef and cook an additional 5 minutes.

Recipe #2: Blackberry Cobbler
2 cups fresh blackberries
1 cup sugar
1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup milk

Toss blackberries in 1/2 cup sugar and let sit for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut butter into into 4 squares and line them in an 8″ square baking dish. Place dish in the oven to melt butter. In the meantime, pour milk into medium bowl. Add 1 cup flour, 1/4 cup at a time. Stir until well combined. Add baking powder and remaining sugar and stir. Pour berries into the cobbler batter and gently stir until combined. (try not to smash the berries while combining) When the butter has melted in your baking dish, pour in your cobbler mixture..don’t stir! Place the baking dish back in over and bake for 30-40 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let cool in baking dish for about 15 minutes before serving. This goes great with a scoop or two of vanilla ice-cream! Enjoy.
