When we first got wind of the NEW Walmart Policy, it clearly seemed that we could use Walgreen’s Catalinas at Walmart instead.
However, Walmart has clarified the Catalina section of their policy. So now it states that you can only use Catalinas that have a specific item on them with the dollar off that item. Total dollar off amounts will NOT be accepted. So looks like we cannot use the Walgreens Catalinas at Walmart.

Super bummer. At least I cleared out my stash of RR before they changed it! Their latest policy update is a huge step backwards in their coupon-friendliness, in my opinion.

In fairness to Walmart I think wishful thinking caused some to jump to an erroneous conclusion that “Walgreen’s” Catalinas aka Register Rewards would be accepted at Walmart. Oh if it were only so.
But still there is a lot of good to be had out of the new policy, such as overages. One of my readers wrote that she recently used the Purex $3 coupon to to buy the sheets on sale for $1.87 and used the $1.13 overage to buy paper towels that she needed.
Now if we can get Target, Kmart and the other “big box’ retailers to do the same thing we’ll really be on a roll.
