It really was???! Then, I am super sorry! I had a company forward me this deal and was assured it was a real freebie.. not everything you detailed. Those are NOT the type of freebies I like to post. So I am very sorry! I will let everyone else know NOT to participate in it. Thank you so much Krystal for letting me know! I will have to steer cleer of them in the future.

I saw the same 7 day offer in a 2 page magazine adverstisement that just came out this week 3/14/11.
I read the entire ad and did not see any strings attached.
However, my experience at Macy’s cosmetics counters which are also advertising the sample, in most cases, is that the ladies judge, stereotype ans quickly peruse you as you approach their counter. If they don’t like what they see, they simply tell you that they don’t have or give out any samples. If you kindly remind them, or even show then the advertisement, they start stuttering and change it to “We haven’t received those samples yet” or “We had them but gave all of them out already”. This even happens when I receive a pamphlet for a free sample in my Macy’s statement each month.
It is my opinion that Macy’s cosmetic personnel either bring the samples home for themselves or
pre-select whom they will give a sample too. I even complained to their 800 # once – a total waste of my time. They don’t care. I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars at Macy’s over the years. I have bought espensive furniture, mattresses, jewelry and my husband even bought me my $6500+ “Princess Diana” sapphire and diamond engagement ring at Macy’s. But you still can’t get samples if you don’t fit the image.
Final advice, bring a copy of the magazine ad for the 7 day free samle and hopefully you will get one of the rare, nice Macy’s cosmetic ladies to help you.
