New Feature: Hot Deal Text Alerts- Never Miss Out Again!

Starting tomorow, Feb 18th, I will start sending out Hot Deal Text Alerts.  Yep, that’s right!  Now, you really won’t ever have to miss out on a deal.

This was a suggestion from many of my readers.  And I thought it was a great idea. When those short-lived deals come, I can send you a text letting you know about the offer right away.  That way, if you aren’t on your computer you can hurry and get online if you want it.

For example, this would have been a great thing to have when the Double Jogging Stroller deal happened a few weeks ago.  Or, it would have been great today with the Free Box of Aunt Jemimas Pancakes.  Both of which went within 20 minutes.

So, if you want to make sure you know what limited time deals are out there, all you have to do is:

Text “Follow F2DDeals” to 40404

Some days you won’t get any texts, and others you could get up to 3- just depending on how crazy the deals are for that day.  Please only sign up if you have unlimited text messages on your cell phone.  I would hate to have your cell phone provider charge you for each text message you receive from me.

  1. Is this any different than following you on twitter and getting the updates sent to your phone?

  2. I did that and I got a message back saying welcome to twitter. I dont have a twitter account. So, can I not get the text messages then?

  3. I already follow you on Twitter and have your tweets sent to to my phone. Is this the same thing? Because the texts come from 40404, and I don’t want to receive double the texts.

  4. These text updates are coming from a Special Twitter account I set up just for the HOT Deals. If you are already getting my Twitter updates, you will get all of the deals I post about. So you won’t want to sign up twice…unless you would just rather get only the HOT Deal texts..instead of all of them.

**You do not have to have a Twitter account to get the text messages. Anyone can sign up for the texts!

  6. I texted that number but I got a message back saying we can’t find that person, did you misspell the name?

    • No, it should be working. You may just have to try it a second time, that worked for people who got an error.

    • My text said the same thing (we can’t find that person, did you misspell the name?) I have tried 3 times now.

  7. Ever since the server changed, my google reader account isn’t getting your updates. I see your updates on Facebook and on the email newsletter I get, but I check my Google reader account more often. How do I fix this?

    • Tatiana- Im not entirely sure. Since my website is no longer hosted on Google, I wonder if that is the problem. You can try to re-subscribe to the feeds at the top of my page. Look for the feed button.
