This is a quick notice to all of you who may have purchased CityDeals gift certificates to SkyBox or have other gift cards. It looks like not only the Salt Lake location, but the South Jordan location have both gone out of business.
I’ve had multiple readers contact me about this. It’s too bad too, because I really liked their food.
If you purchased a discounted gift certificate to the SkyBox through CityDeals, you will want to contact them for some type of refund or credit. Hopefully they can do something for you.

They will only give you a credit or refund if you've made the purchase in the last 30 days. Otherwise you're out of luck. I found this out the hard way when Thai Chili Gardens closed down and then reopened under a new name (same location, same owners, just a new name.) Now they won't accept my Citydeals certificate, and Citydeals won't give me a credit because it has been more than 30 days. Talk about a bummer!

same thing happened with Great Harvest in Lehi. So bummed i got $20 in GC there and they closed down just a couple weeks after i purchased, but i didn't realize until it was more than 30 days. 🙁 Makes me very skeptical to buy from citydeals ever since

We love skybox so I looked it up on their website and it is only closed at gateway. It is still open in south jordan by the river bottoms!

Jackie-I've had readers call the South Jordan location and said they were out of business too. So you may want to call and double check.

This is exactly why I no longer make these types of purchases from City Deals. Twice now, I've bought a certificate from somewhere to have the eatery go out of business! It's not worth saving a few bucks up front, when you don't get to use the certificate or get a refund from City Deals. Bummer!

Darcie- I called the Great Harvest in Draper and they will accept the Lehi gift certificates.Yeah this has happened with me and city deals three times now, and always after the 30 has past.

Called City Deals. They JUST changed their policy to refunding for companies that have gone out of business if you purchased within the past 60 days (used to be 30). Too late for me with SkyBox, but maybe others can still get a refund!
