Hopefully you all read my post about how Wal-Mart is going to give $1 Million to the city who gets the most likes on the Wal-Mart Fight for Hunger Page.  If you didn’t, you can read the original post here.

However, it has come to my attention that even though you may already “like” your City on the Facebook Page, there are other ways to add more likes to your grand total- which could put Salt Lake up over the top and steady at #1.

After you have gone over to the Wal-Mart Fight for Hunger Page and “liked” them.  You can do the following things to add an addtional “like” to the total count:

  • “Sharing” upon clicking the “Like” button
  • Adding a comment in the field that appears immediately after clicking the “Like” button
  • “Liking” a community from another Facebook user’s news feed (once that user has “shared” that community) Commenting on a community from within another Facebook user’s news feed (once that user has “shared” that community) .
  • “Sharing” a community page that another Facebook user has already shared will allow others to add “Likes” to that community’s total by “Liking” and commenting.

You can probably imagine what $1 Million would do for a Food Bank.  So, if you are a Utah Reader, let’s work together and do these extra things so we can try to win this thing!

If you live in a different city, use the additional tips above as well.  It should be a fair compeitition so let your friends and neighbors know too!

(Thanks Shanna)
