It’s time to start really adding up your Swagbucks to start earning your Amazon Gift Cards!  You really can earn a ton of gift cards to Amazon.  And I know many people who get enough Amazon Gift Card to pay for their entire Christmas!  Wouldn’t that be nice?

The best way to earn Swagbucks is to use their search engine anytime you need to search something on the web.  It combines both Google and Ask.com.  So it works pretty well.  I would recommend uploading the Swagbucks Toolbar.  Sometimes you will get free swagbucks just for being signed in to your toolbar.  Plus, it is easier to use the search engine if it is at the top of your page ready to go.

You will get rewarded points for searches you do.  Sometimes you will earn and sometimes you won’t.  But the points start adding up.  And, once you get to 450 Swagbucks, you will get a $5.00 Amazon Gift Card. Save up 2,350 Swagbucks and get a $20 Target Gift Card.  Or save up 5,900 Swagbucks and get a $50 Amazon Gift Card! 

If you are a Facebook Fan of Swagbucks and really want to earn points quicker, they share information on there to help you know where extra Swagcodes are listed. You just enter them into your account and you will get more Swagbucks.

Before I keep going, let me say that this is ENTIRELY Free!  I haven’t paid a dime and I started using Swagbucks myself last year! 

One thing I did to help earn more Swagbucks was have my husband put my Swagbucks account on his work computer.  So both of us are earning them all day long. The rules will not let two people in the same household have a Swagbucks account, but they will allow you to work together on one.

So, if you haven’t started yet…. you won’t has as much time to earn as many Swagbucks…but you should be able to snag a few Amazon Gift Cards with points you earn from now till Christmas!  So, sign up here and get started! 

Once you get signed up, you can forward this post to your friends and let them know that they can do the same thing.  You can give them your referral link from your account.  And everytime they earn Swagbucks, you do too!  So, if you and your friends work together, you could get a lot of your Christmas paid for!

To top it all off, Fridays are Mega Swagbucks Days.  They give out more and higher value Swagbucks today!  So you can earn a lot of points to add to your account!

**Quick Tips for people already using Swagbucks:

– They only allow 5 Redemptions of the same exact item per month.  So, you can get 5 $50 Amazon Gift Cards and 5 $5 Amazon Gift Cards.  But they won’t let you get 6 of either in one month.

– If you would like to redeem your points for Swagbucks, you need to do so BEFORE the 1st or 15th of the month.  That is when their redemption cycles run.  You usually get your gift card codes posted to your account within 10 days after.  But, it usually doesn’t take that long.

    • Last I heard you get a buck for each buck they earn up to 1000.

  4. Erin- Im pretty sure you get the same points as your friend does anytime they earn them! This is what is on their page "When you refer a friend and they sign up with the link you send them, you are awarded matching Swag Bucks (within 48 hours) only for the Bucks they win while searching (up to a total of 1,000)."

  5. So it's better to buy four $5 gift cards than one $20 gift card, right? Do you know if when you purchase something on amazon, can you use four different gift cards on it?Thanks Melea!-Kara

  6. Kara-Yes, but if you are going to redeem more Swagbucks throughout the month, you can only get 5 of those $5.00 Amazon Gift Cards. So if you want more than that, you will need to redeem a larger gift card instead.You can add as many gift cards as you want to your account. You can just add them to your account as soon as you get them. Then, when you are ready to purchase something, your credit will be waiting.

  7. So i really like using swagbucks, the only thing I have with them is that they aren't that helpful. We ordered a wii on walmart.com and never got our points. I wrote them twice and inquired about it, but they never responded or anything. That would have put me up to a $50 gift card to amazon!

    • Nope you can collect them as long as you want until you are ready to redeem them for a prize.

  12. Can someone please explain Swagbucks better to me please? This explanation kinda helped but not really. I just tried to figure it out on their website and I am more confused than ever. Everyone says you don’t have to pay a dime to earn swagbucks but from what I see on their website you can only get them by using coupons (which requires buying things) or making select online purchases (like buying certain groupons) in order to get swagbucks? Am I missing something? I downloaded the toolbar–is that all I need to do?

    • I only use the Swagbucks search engine to search instead of Google. Every now and then they will reward me with Swagbucks when I do that. So, this method doesn’t cost any money. So get searching!

  13. You said that Amazon cards you purchase will be added to your ‘account’, but I’m confused. Do you mean it is automatically added to your existing Amazon account? I have purchased two, received confirmation emails from Swagbucks, but I didn’t see them in my Amazon account under gift cards. Am I looking in the wrong place? I can’t seem to find an explanation on the Swagbucks site.

    • Pam, Your Amazon Gift Cards are in your Swagbucks account. Take the 16 digit codes they have given you and add them to your Amazon Account and the credits will show up. Or, you can use them while checking out on Amazon to get your discount too. They are just an eGift Card that needs to be added.

  17. I’ve been doing SB for a couple months and don’t have very many points. I try to do the daily poll and use the toolbar for searches but I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong because I’m just barely at the amount for a $5 GC? My most confusing thing is the SwagBuck Hints where you have to go search somewhere to get a code to enter. I have no idea what I’m looking for? Can anyone help me figure that out?

  21. So if I redeem 5 $5 amazon giftcards this month do I have to use them before I get more? Do they expire? I have quite a few points and find searching easy. My son also plays the free games and gets me points he thinks it is great. Super cute when he comes and tells me so excitedly that he earned me points.

  37. Melea, I would like to know if the gift cards you earn from Swagbucks are e-cards which I believe means for internet use only? Or are they gift cards you can redeem in a physical store instead of online?

  42. I have a dumb question that may be totally obvious. I’ve been trying to earn points on Swagbucks for a few months and I’m not super great at it yet. On Discover tab, then special offers it shows offers for adding things to a card. Where do I get this card to add these offers?
