So I have to brag for a quick second…. I have NEVER had a Cavity!  I think it had to do with the flouride my Mom gave me when I was little. And it is definitely something I will start to do with my little girl- if she ever gets her teeth in!

Well, I went in for a checkup last week because I thought that maybe, just maybe I had my very first cavity.  I was pretty bummed about it.  And it turns out that I am clear!  No cavities—just an incredibly stressed person who clenches her jaw at night because she can’t relax.  So good on the no cavity thing- and bad on the stress…I still have got to find a way to balance everything!

Anyway- the point is that they gave me a flier at Stonehaven Dental telling me that they would purchase back my Halloween Candy!  They will give $1.00 per Pound- up to 5 Pounds per person.  I was going to post about that, but then got a heads up from another blogger of a database that shows all of the Dentist’s offices that participate in the Halloween Candy BuyBack!  Just enter in your zipcode.

You can let your kids pick out their favorites, or limit them to a certain number- then take the rest in for money.  Then, head over to the Dollar Spot at Target to get a toy instead!  Kids would probably enjoy that a little more I would think!~

The Dentists participating in the Halloween Candy BuyBack will actually send your Candy to Operation Gratitude or other Military operations who will then send it out to Military troops in harm’s way!  I’m sure they love getting some Halloween Candy!

So check your zipcode to see what your Dentist Office will give you for your candy!

(Thanks Bargain Blessings)

  2. I have been told that the later in life you get your teeth the better they are. My husband didn't get his teeth in till he was 16mo old & never had a cavity either! Maybe you got yours in late like your daughter??? Either way pretty cool!

  5. Keep in mind that if you live in an area where the water in fluoridated and you drink tap water, you should probably not give your daughter additional fluoride. Check with her doctor and dentist to get the right amount.
