It looks like some Target stores may be marking their Dollar Sections at 50% off. So $1.00 items may only be $.50. This is an email that I got from reader DeAnna telling me how she scored:
Hey Melea,
I went to my local Target in Riverdale, UT last night and saw in their “dollar section” that the BLACK DOT items (the ones with the black dots next to the barcode) were all marked at 50% off, making most of them just 50 cents each.
I got:
a 40 sq foot roll of baby gift wrap
4 dishcloths (2 two-packs)
2 small packs of Rayovak batteries
I then used two of the printable 1.00$/1 pkg any Rayovak smartsource coupons
and paid 68 cents total for everything! (pics attatched)
Awesome!! Let us know if you find similar deals in your Target Dollar Spot too. You can get your $1.00 off Rayovac Coupon too. Free batteries are the best!

I was at the Fort Union Target yesterday and they had the same sale. I was able to get a couple of head bands for my daughter, adorable gift bags, and magnetic note pads for $0.50 each. There were many other things available too, including the batteries. I love their dollar bins!!!

I had an awful shopping experience at target yesterday (but that is another story). They had some of their $1 items on 75% off and I was able to get the batteries for .25 I spent over $40 and they still adjusted my $1 off coupon to .25. I know it says that they can do that in their policy, but do they do that for all of you as well?
Melea
Jen-It all depends on the cashier. They can choose to adjust the coupon or not. And it is kind of the luck of the draw on that unfortunately.
