Dinner and a movie is the staple for a date night and what most of us do on the weekends. So, I thought I would give you some ideas for Cheap Date Nights in your area.
For any of the deals below, you can use your Free Movie Tickets you have received from Kellogg’s, Pop Tarts, or Cache Valley Cheese. Or, you can purchase a discounted Movie Ticket through City Deals.
South Jordan, Utah:
- Dinner at MacCool’s (Right across from the Jordan Megaplex Theater) Get a $30.00 Gift Certificate for only $18.00. That could be enough for 3-4 people. So, as low as $9.00 per couple!
- Movie at Jordan Megaplex Theater- 2 Movie Tickets for only $13.60 (Normally $8.50 each!)
- Ice Cream at Marble Slab Creamery- Get a $20 Marble Slab Gift Certificate for only $10
All of these places are located right next to the theater. So you only have to park once and can walk where you need to!
Downtown Salt Lake:
- Dinner at SkyBox- Get a $25 Gift Certificate for only $17.50. You can use multiple gift certificates at a time!
- Movie at Gateway Megaplex Theater- 2 Movie Tickets for only $13.60 (Normally $8.50 each!)
- Ice Cream or Dipped Apples at Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory– $25.00 Gift Certificate for only $21.75 (only 16 left!)
American Fork, Utah:
- Dinner at Pier 49 Pizza- Get a $20 Gift Certificate for $9.00! (Right next to the theater)
- Movie at Cinemark- 2 Movie Tickets for $14.50 (Normally $8.50 each)
- Smart Cookie (Ice Cream and other treats) $15.00 Gift Certificate for $7.50!
So, you guys are starting to get the idea right? I just thought about what restaurants and ice cream places were right next to the theaters and started searching for them on City Deals. It is a great way to get a cheap date night!~ Plus, many times you can split your gift certificates with another couple. Or, they can purchase one too!
Cinemark is National! So, look for Restaurant Deals in your state to come up with a similar cheap date night!
And, if you purchase today or tomorrow, you will get them before the weekend!

I took my family to the movie tonight for a great price, thanks to a deal I got from CityDeals (after reading about it here) a month ago (4 passes, 4 popcorn for $24). Plus, I had two free tickets from Kelloggs cereal. Regular price for 6 tickets would have been $51 (w/out popcorn) and I paid less than half that! My kids were thrilled that they didn't have to wait to see the movie at the dollar theater. Thanks Melea!
