I know a lot of you registered for the Nielsen Home Scanner already. Some of you are on the waiting list like me, and some of you just got word that you got in! So congrats to you guys!
I have just found out that today is the last day that Nielsen Home Scanner will be accepting applicants for awhile. If you have kids, this is the PERFECT thing to keep them occupied while you shop! To read more about what it is, read my first post about it here!

I also just got my scanner. But you can't really use it with your kids at the grocery store, but to scan the groceries once you get home. It will ask for a total from your receipt.

I got accepted but haven't received the scanner yet, I was notified that it was shipped though! I did something similar to this before and it was quite fun!

I did this a few years ago. It wasn't too bad, but we only had one kid then. Now that we have three, I can't imagine it being very easy to do. It was kind of a hassle to scan everything we ever bought when we got home. We did get a few free things out of it, which I thought was worth it at the time.

I was a member of shoppers hotline for several years until it closed last month, they suggested i sign up for this program, and it kept telling me mine was not a real address. Would have bee nice though.

I am still on the waiting list. They keep emailing me surveys, but I can't complete them because my number isn't "registered". I'm a little confused, and would just like to get accepted!

So I got mine early this week, but didn't have a chance to open it til today (and really just barely went shopping this week last night.) I had a fairly small trip to Target but it was kind of a pain (but kinda fun too) you had to enter the price you paid, if you used a coupon and/or if it was on sale how much your coupon was worth, etc. It was interesting. When I did Smith's food though it said no prices needed. It's not a super easy thing to do. Definitely a little time consuming so if you don't have spare time don't bother. 🙂 I'm not sure hoe quickly the reward points will rack up though. Wish they did something like Swagbucks and had amazon giftcards for cheap.
