I mentioned awhile ago, that our family was going to Disneyland next week! And, I had A LOT of you comment and email asking me what kind of deal I was able to score or ask me tips about saving money on the trip.

A friend of mine is moving ot Orlando to work at DisneyWorld and gets killer discounts. He can get in the parks for free and also 50% off the Disney Hotels and other discounts as well. I'll have to hit him up sometime for DisneyWorld or DisneyLand!

We did the service project to get free tickets for a day but want to find a good deal on a hotel and meals. I'll be watching!!

We signed up for a Disney Chase credit card and get 1 Disney Dollar for every hundred we put on the card. We made some big purchases and just put them on the card to get our Disney Rewards. We have over $150 and you can use it pretty much any where in the park (food, souviners, tours, etc.) It has worked out great for us to have "free" money to spend while in the park. Just another thought.

Someone asked about tickets to other parks like Sea World. The best combo tickets I have found are the CityPass. It includes 3 days at Disney, and 1 at MGM Studios, Sea world, and the San Diego Zoo. We are trying to go in June (just waiting for confirmation from hubby's work) and are also looking at timeshare's. I'm looking forward to your post on Monday!

The free picture with the character IS still going on. We were there in Feb and we did it everyday. Love the personal meet and greet it is one of out kids favorite things! They get to spend as much time with the character as they want.

Thanks for doing this site..it is really great info. We booked our Disneyland vacation through Costco. They have the same great prices as Get Away Today and I got a free character meal for my entire family (which for may family means an almost $200 savings!!)
