Money for your Prescriptions!

I posted about this awhile ago.  But today I have seen the coupons come out in the store ads!

Kmart has a $10 Gift Card for any new or transferred prescription in their weekly ad.  You should be able to pick one up at the store.

Smiths had a $20 Grocery Credit for any new or transferred prescription in a mailer I received this week.  If you have a fresh values card, you should have received a mailer from them.  Make sure you always check those before you throw them away.  I know we get in a habit of throwing away “junk mail”, but there is some good stuff in there sometimes!

Target has a $10 Gift Card for any new or transferred prescription coupon here.  It will be in the Pharmacy category.

Most places offer $4 generic prescriptions.  Which means that you will pay $4 for yours and get a $10-$20 Gift Card back.  You will be able to make some good money just picking up a new prescription.  I’m sure that most of us are getting one time prescriptions for sick kids or for yourself.  So, a new prescription will work for all three of these deals.  I personally did the $20 Grocery Credit at Smiths about 2 months ago.  It was awesome.  I was able to use any coupons I had and the $20 Grocery Credit together!

  1. Make sure you read the fine print on the coupon. At Kmart for example, you can only get "up" to the $10. Which means if you only get a $4 prescription, the gift card is only worth $4. Still, you can use that for other stuff, so basically the prescription is free. Also, if you have a prescription at Walgreens and transfer it away, they will send you a $25 check a few months later that is redeemable if you transfer the prescription back.

  2. Thanks for the tip on the Rite-aid $25 gift cards last month. I transferred 4 prescriptions and got 4 $25 gift cards. They allowed 2 separate prescriptions per patient. I filled both my sons meds which I do everymonth and actually got paid for it! Came in handy for Christmas. $100 dollars!!! My husband was floored! Thanks 🙂
