Unfortunately there is no such thing as free shipping. That cost will be charged by the shipping companies to Target, whether it is passed on to the customer as a “shipping charge” or not. Either Target will pass it on through other costs, such as smaller promotions, or Target will eat it in their margins. It’s best to look at the over price and see what you’re paying, even if shipping is involved.

I tried using all the codes yesterday provided for Target on some items that my kids want for Christmas. I luckily decided to check amazon pricing on those items before checking out and found that amazons pricing still beat target by 10 cents when it was all said and done, no codes needed. I sure love my amazon prime! Target tries, but I think that their prices will still be higher to compensate for their “free shipping”.

I believe they are worried after the credit card fiasco last year. Surveys released on the news last night said 40% of the people said they would not shop at stores this Christmas whose security had been compromised previously. Just use paypal at Target and enjoy.
