  3. So it’s okay for me to use the coupons with the sale promotion? Because the coupons say that you can not combine with any other promotions and before I drive an hour to the closest store I want to make sure I can use both. Thanks!

  4. Shopko has bogo 50% off games. They have a variety of travel sized games. We paid about $1.50 for each travel size game after the sale and the coupons we used. We bought battleship, connect 4, and guess who since we had coupons for those. There is also hungry hungry hippo, and perfection… but I did not see coupons for those.

    • Steph are you talking about coupons that were printed from the Hasbro site.. or coupons from Coupons.com?

  6. Beware of Toys R Us. I went this morning and they would not take the coupons on certain games. For example, they only had the Toy Story Memory game but since that was not the game pictured on the coupon they would not take it. Same with the Chutes and Ladders game. My daughter wanted the Dora version but no go with Toys R Us. They also would not let me use the Connect Four coupon on the travel games (also because it was not pictured) I was so upset I left without buying anything. I went to Target for my games. Not quite as good a deal as it could have been at Toy R Us, but considering they wouldn’t accept any of my coupons it ended up being a better deal for me.

  7. I printed coupons from both coupons.com and hasbro, but I used the coupons.com ones first at one Walmart. I bought a bunch of travel games and card games without any problems, but I’m not sure if it said ” good only for items shown” or not. Then today I went to a different Walmart and tried to use some hasbro ones and coupons.com. They wouldn’t accept any of them. I was so frustrated. The monopoly I bought was a board game, but it was on clearance for $3 and my coupon was $4. They didn’t want to accept it because the item was on clearance and then finally said they would accept it for $3. I said that’s not true because their coupon policy says I should get the overage and they finally did accept it for $4. However, they wouldn’t let me use the other coupons on card games or the travel version of connect 4 becuase it wasn’t the exact item pictured on the coupon. So frustrating and a waste of my time!
Melea, are we in the wrong here? I’m pretty new to couponing, but I’m with Steph–what exactly does “good only for item shown” mean? We can only buy that specific memory game or whatnot?!?

And I have to say I really do appreciate all you do for the site–you’re awesome!

    • “Good only for item shown” means that the coupon will only work on the pictured product. However, when i printed out my coupons, I didn’t have that on mine. So, I’m wondering if they changed it haflway through and updated it so people wouldn’t use them on the card games.

So, you will just have to go off of what your coupon says and stick with that to use coupons ethically. As far as Walmart not letting you use a coupon on a Clearance product? That is absurd. I’m glad you stuck up for yourself!! Keep that coupon policy with you in case you need it. 🙂
