Pringles Xtreme Offer- Important Information!!!!

DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission.

Remember the Free Can of Pringles Xtreme offer??  Some people are saying that this offer was “fake” and others are saying it was legit.  In cases like this, it is always better to be safe than sorry.  So I thought I would pass the information on to you.

When I sent you the link to the Pringles Xtreme Offer, I did not tell you to “like” any application.  Only to fill in the information for your free can. That is a good way to make sure you are always safe.

However, it looks like the developer of this site had the page automatically have you “like” them.  You will want to remove the application and possibly update your Facebook password- just to be safe.

To remove the application:  Go to the Facebook Application. Then click REMOVE APPLICATION at the bottom on the left hand side. I would also report the application to Facebook.

If you go to remove the application, and you do not see the Remove Application link on the bottom left hand side…then you are fine and do not need to do anything further.  I believe this has mostly affected those who were already signed into facebook earlier that day..like myself.

It may be that this is still a legitimate offer.  But since we don’t know for sure..it is better to be safe than sorry!

***The link was hosted on the Pringles Site.  So if it is a fake offer, this hacker did an incredible job making it not seem like it was!!

  1. It's times like this that I'm SO glad I set up a dummy facebook account–nothing personal is on the account, nor pictures, etc.

  2. Facebook now bookmarks any new application automatically. I did not have to "Like" them nor was it done for me. It took all a 10-seconds to remove the app. Folks, stop freaking out! If you're THAT worried, either get a dummy account like mentioned above or stop taking the chance on a FREE deal!

  3. I never download any apps. They are not worth the deal or fun-to-be-had or info or whatever they are offering. Heard too many problems with viruses when downloading apps in facebook.
