Who is the BEST Coupon Clipping Service??

About a week or so ago, I told you all that I would do a little test to see who was the best coupon clipping service.  A coupon clipping service charges you to cut the coupons that you choose.

Some people think that clipping coupon services are not the best idea.  Why others need the option since their paper doesn’t even carry the coupon inserts.  So, this post is meant to be informative and help you out.  You can all make your own decisions whether you want to use a coupon clipping service or not. 🙂

And, after my research, I have picked two that I would recommend to all of you guys to try.  My two favorites are The Coupon Clippers and Coupons by Dede.

  • Both companies will let you pay by Paypal, which helps keep my cc info private.  But they also take credit cards for those who don’t have a Paypal account.
  • The Coupon Clippers didn’t ship until Tuesday and Coupons by Dede shipped on Monday.  However both arrived at my home in Utah on Thursday.  I wish the shipping could have been faster without paying an arm and a leg for the expedited shipping.  But, it may be faster for you if you live near their services.
  • The Coupon Clippers are located in Florida and Coupons by Dede are located in Texas.
  • Both services had different coupons available.  So I ended up purchasing different coupons for both.
  • Both had the same ending cost for shipping and their coupon clipping prices were the same.

Maybe you don’t get the RedPlum insert in your Sunday Paper, or maybe you need extra copies of a particular coupon.  Using a coupon clipping service can help only purchase the coupons you need and pass on the rest.  Coupons will go up live on Sundays on both sites.  So, if you see a coupon you want, Sunday or Monday would be the best day to order it.

As long as your coupon clipping costs still helps you to save money overall on your Grocery purchase, I would recommend doing it if you need particular coupons.

  1. I have used Coupon by Dede and it was great! I ordered the coupons on Monday and received them by that Wednesday!! I like the fact that with these services you can get access to coupons that you normally wouldn’t get because of the region you’re in. And it was cheaper to get the coupons I actually need it than buying the newspaper =)

    • I totally agree Joy! I have found quit a few coupons on Dede’s site and the Clipper’s site that you just can’t get in the paper. Plus I have emailed to many different companies and asked for specific coupons and they say the coupons are not available more than often. So where does that leave you? I do agree with the above comments that the coupons should be one flat handling fee. Perhaps the difference in price is due to the availability of the coupon. The less frequently distributed coupon will take longer to accumulate for them so it would make sense that it would cost more to “handle.” It’s all about burden of labor cost of some items that makes them more expensive.

  2. You really are buying the service not the coupons on these sites. It is illegal to “sell” coupons from national manufacturers. You can get up to 5 copies of the coupons from most newspapers for a very small price. Newspapers work with the national advertisers to make sure that people aren’t abusing the coupon’s policy. It would be interesting to learn where these woman are getting all of these extra copies because they aren’t getting them from the source.

    • I am so glad that i am not the only person who wonders this… it is just one of those things that i think… how dose that work. 🙂

      • A lot of them get newspapers that are left at the end of the day at stores and gas stations. I know a lady that has 2 news paper routes and they have a couple hundred left over every Sunday because the papers are delievered in pieces and she has to put them together. She gives them to a church that has a food pantry.

    • One of the ways I “pay forward” on my unused or out of date coupons (six month out of date max.) is mail them around the world to different military bases. The PX’s (military grocery stores) will allow service members and their families to use coupons even if they are not more than six month old. It helps the service member family save money and it gives me a chance to teach geography to my kids. On that note, perhaps these coupon clipping services have people like me that donate (in date), unwanted coupons to them to use for their business. There may not be some sinister, controversial, Mafioso reason for how they get their coupons…..just sayin’

      • How do you send them? I would do that. I hate when I have a bunch of great coupons I’ve let go out of date. It would make me happy for someone to be able to use them.

      • Hi,
If someone will send me the information or post it on here, I’d be happy to send my out of date coupons to service members. I never knew anyone accepted out of date coupons. Thanks!

        • Go to coupsfortroops.com. They have all the information for where to send your expired coupons.

      • Can I get the address to send them over to families in the service cause I always have coupons that run out before I have the chance or money to use them amd I rather someone using them before I throw them.

        • Hey Karli, If you check the FAQ section on Freebies2Deals.com, I have a post about sending coupons overseas to the Military.

    • there are websites that actually sell just the inserts. so that may be where the extras come from and it cost you depending on how many inserts you buy. by charging per coupon it helps to counter act the price they may have paid to buy the inserts.

  3. I would like to know what other services you tried that you were not impressed with. Do you have any that did not deliver the coupons at all, or were very late?

    • The coupon clippers seem to be overloade0 and haven’t added any new coupons in almost two weeks. Supposedly they mailed the coupons I ordered on Monday. It is Thursday and they are not here. They are in Fl and I am in MS. shouldn’t take 5 days. Also, when I first got onto their site, last week, there over over 1,200 different coupons. Now there are only just over 600 different and last night there were be over 3,000 shoppers on the site at one time….

Also, the last email I got pretty much wanted everyone to know how much trouble they go through to get those coupons up on their site…. I mean, they charge and when you charge for a service, you will have to actually work.

The best money saving coupons I have found is the krazy coupon lady. She can really find the deals. The only problem is they are printable coupons and you can only print 2 from your computer. So if you really want to stack up, you will have to find those coupons somewhere else.

The coupon craze has really taken off so if it ever does settle down somewhat, it may be easier for us to get our hands on the really good coupon deals.

      • Remember M, you can print 2 coupons PER computer … so if you have more than one computer, print from the others as well. I have 4 computers in my house … sometimes they all get used when pasta goes on sale!!

        • Have you tried clearing your cookies to allow printing more printable coupons? It should work, unless they get your MAC address instead of leaving a cookie.

  4. I use west coast coupon clippers. I love them! They are fast. You get your order shipped if it is put in by 6 PM and they have a great selection! Plus they are WAY cheaper then most of the other clipping sites. I just bought Nivea for women $3/1 for 10 cents. If your order is over 4.00 your shipping is free! These ladies really care about their business!

As for the other stuff it’s a matter of supply and demand. Things cost more because they are more valuable or they are more in demand. It’s a higher priority to me to have some cut my $3/1 coupon for an item I’m going to get for .04 cents then it is for someone to cut a coupon that I am only going to save .50 cents. There are sites on the internet where you can buy whole inserts, like whole inserts.com or Dede’s. I asked WCCC where they got their inserts and they said they pay for them and they come from Florida. I have done both coupon clippers and Dede’s and they were fast, nice and very good…but I think WCCC is much better and it costs a lot less. IMHO :P)

    • Tammy, do you have the web site for the west coast coupon clippers?

      • Westcoastcouponclipping.com

        • Wow Thank you so much for the info

    • Hi im just woundering i went on westcoastclipping.com and cold not find that coupon do they take it down if they run out ?

  5. Has anyone here ever tried Jan’s Coupons ?

  6. I COMPLETELY agree!

  7. I love to use a coupon clipping service.

  8. I ordered from the coupon clippers on Sunday and didn’t receive them until Friday. On top of that there were two coupons missing, I emailed them and never heard anything back. Won’t ever use them again.

    • Tasha,

Yes, that is way too long to wait for coupons! If it takes that long to get to where you live, I wouldn’t use them either.

      Melea

    • I have ordered several times from coupon clippers. once there was an error in my order and i sent an email. they immediatly corrected it by sending me the missing Q’s and gave me a $2 credit on their site. Great service.

  9. I have found the site PowerCouponer.com/store to work the best as they don’t charge any service or shipping fees.

    • Janica, I’ve used them before and have never had to purchase a $27 eBook. I actually don’t even know what you are talking about. You may want to double check their site again.

      • I was just there and it says “Our Coupon Clipping Service is ONLY available to Power Couponer members. To become a member, just get our ebook to the right ” and it is on sale now for $17 but still certainly not worth it to me!!!!

        • Tammy- When I wrote the post, they weren’t doing that. If they are doing that now, then I would definitely go with Coupon Dede then!

  10. Thanks for all the info, I have tried a few services and really like ordering the coupons. It has saved me a lot of time. I have tried coupon hunters and Our coupon clipping service, both are great and fast…our coupon Clipping service seems smaller so your order gets shipped the same day.

    • I love the coupon hunters :). she’s great to work with 🙂

  11. Anyone know where i can find coupons for pepsi or 7-up…just learning 🙂

  12. I love couponclippingservice.blogspot.com

  13. I have found a website that will allow you to pay for a subscription that will last for 90 days. You have several subscriptions to choose from such as 100 coupons for $10 or 1000 coupons for $80. Has anyone ever heard of this service and is it ok to use? Here is the deal: pay for a subscription, then you are free to order that amount of coupons within a 90 day period. The website says that if you use all of you coupons before the 90 days are up, you can order another subscription at anytime, as early as the very next day. WOW how great if this is legit!!!

    • what is the website for this subscription?

      • Would love to know the site too. Just to check it out at the very least.

  14. Thanks for the information.

I was Googling “Coupon clipping services” and your blog entry was one of the first few things in the search results.

I’m just starting out with coupons. I do like Extreme Couponers, but don’t think I really need a huge stockpile like some of them. But on one episode the lady had mentioned spending $70 for her coupons for the big haul shopping trip she was doing. I suppose if that $70 ends up saving you several hundred over all it’s worth it.

I would probably only order small amounts of coupons if I went through a service, just to have 2-10 of each item depending on what it is, how quick we’d use it.

Printing coupons seems quick, but then where do I go to stock up on ink and paper? Cartridges for my printer end up being about $30/piece and reams of paper aren’t cheap either (although I did just see a coupon for a ream of paper on Coupons.com).

Since they say time is money, then I suppose we all have to figure out what really saves us money over all, whether it’s doing the legwork ourselves or having others help us out, and whether it’s spending money directly on the coupon clipping services or spending money on ink and paper or on local newspapers.

Once again, thanks for the post!

    • Try office max, they refill your ink for a very low price

    • Excellent points Ashley. I feel the same way. Some people buy 10 or 20 newspapers … there better be some awesome coupons in there for that!! What irks me about printing coupons is that the coupon takes up 3 inches of paper while the rest is filled with advertising wasting my ink!

      • Hey Kamie, Try print preview and see if your computer will let you “print current view.” If it does go back to the coupon and enlarge it a little then click on print preview and print just the “current view” that should give you just the coupon and not the junk. Then, before cutting the coupon out, learn your printer so you can print another coupon (perhaps on the back) on the same piece of paper. That way you aren’t wasting paper just to save ink.

  15. TheCouponMaster.com is a great clipping service. It’s based in Rhode Island, so for East Coast folk, mail time is usually just a couple days. I have been using them for several years and have never had any issues. They also take PayPal.

  16. Just found your site, sure hope it’s all you all say it is. Because when I go to the coupon site’s, they all have the very same coupons. Will let you know.
    Pat

  17. The coupon clippers had a good selection, but my cc info was stolen from their website (I know this because it was a cc I had not used in months)

    • Thanks for sharing!

  18. I have been using coupondede.com for my ordering. last week they forgot to include part of my order. when i emailed them, they responded the next day and sent my coupons with an apology and a $5 gift certificate toward my next purchase. Great customer service!!!

    • I think I will try coupon dede because I can order just one for two coupons. The other site has a minimum for most of their coupons. Why would I need 5 coupons for ketchup that expire in 15 days? I dont plan to power shop, just save on what we need and maybe stock up on two or three. Thanks for letting us know about your positive experience.

      • I do not have a minimum either; you can select just 1 or 2 of the coupons you. Please let me know if I can help. Thanks.

    • Didn’t care for coupondede.com once i discovered that they have a $5 minimum order. There are weeks that there just aren’t sales/deals enough to need that many coupons.

  19. I disagree. What are you talking about “integrity”. If it wasn’t for this clipping service I would not be able to stock up on things that I need for a family of 7.

    • INTEGRITY has nothing to do with whether these services are helping people to save money – it’s about whether they are doing it ethically and legally or not.

    • I cant understand why you think its ok to use so many and stock pile so much food when there are hungry children on the streets of America. Integrity is a two way street. The service my mother used to work for charged a flat fee for all coupons. Thats how its supposed to be. I never liked that my mom worked there but that was her choice.

      • (Kids hungry in the streets) just shows how out of touch you are. Stop and you do something about it let us use the service to keep YOUR kids off the street so you have less to fix.

  20. I know for a fact Rachael with thecouponclippers.com buys her newspapers every week. As well as Dede. Both gals work hard to provide a service for their customers.

There have been questions about peoples “integrity” Come on! These coupon clipping service companies would not be here if there weren’t a demand for the coupons. I, for one, live in a city that has more advertisements in its coupon section then actual coupons. Yes, I buy coupons on line whether it be from eBay or a clipping service. If it were not for the coupon clipping services I would not be able to buy and donate like I do.

  21. Where can i use these coupons? I have never use these before. Please email a response thanks

  22. Coupon clipping serivices are great! I have no issues buying from them. But, that stupid show is ruining it for us all and I hear rumors that the insert companys might shut them down. I think we should all boycott EC when it comes back on TLxc for the new season. NO ONE WATCH IT!

    • Jamie, I wonder myself how much longer coupons will be around.I have used coupons for over 30 years. I have appreciated how they allow me to stretch my budget. I am not an EC, 2 or 3 products ahead of the game is enough for me. Companies use coupons to entice us to buy their products not to get them for free. Mind you I have not problem with free if it doesn’t ruin it for every one else. I know the grocers get reimbursed so the financial burden of couponing lies mostly with the manufacturer.
As far using a coupon cutting service goes; I am on this site to read what others have to say before I decide if I am going to give it a try.I am in favor of flat fees v.s fee based on cost. If there is a justfication for that, I would like t hear it. Besides the obvious benefit to the buyer; i think it’s great people have found another way to make extra money in these difficult times and it’s a way for a person who needs to work from their home , to do so. On top of that, think of all the recycleable material that will not automatically end up in the land fills.
If anyone knows a good site for Tide coupons, i’d appreaciate the sharing. Thanks!

      • Hey Michele,

Try Target.com for Tide coupons. I see them there all the time. Hopefully you have a Target in your city. Good Luck..

  23. I agree with you. If they were just charging for their clipping service, the charge would be the same with every coupon.

  24. I am new to this coupon clipping thing. Been working at this for a couple of months now. I just wish I knew how to get the items for free or alot less. I guess I will learn in time. I did need some coupons and ordered from Dede. I had my coupons in two days. No problems. I will use them again. Happy Couponing..

    • I noticed that it is extremely difficult to find coupons that will make anything free. The trick is to find a store that will double coupons and wait until the item goes on sale. Until this week, there were no stores in my area that doubled coupons, but now my local Price Chopper does. I can’t wait to start using my coupons there and getting twice the discount! Hope this helps.

    • Hey Lucy,

I’m new too but I’m so frustrated with “Freebie” sites. They all want you to order magazines to get the free stuff. I don’t have time to read. And when I intend to cancel the stupid subscription just to get something free, I always forget and end up fighting with the magazine company and/or paying for a magazine I won’t read. It’s not worth it.

  25. Can someone explain what coupon doubling means? I asked the clerk in the store where I grocery shop and she was clueless. I also asked if there was a max amount of coupons I could use and she gave me a blank stare, so I don’t think I will be asking her again.

Also, I live in Hawaii and I would like to order coupons online because I am just getting started, but I wonder if the shipping time being over a week to get from the continental US (like Florida) to Hawaii would be too long, and by the time I get the coupon maybe the sale would be over in the grocery store. Any suggestions?

    • Tracie,

Some of the chain grocery stores in NC has a policy to double coupons up to $.50 daily. This week is “Super Double” coupons, so coupons up to $.99 are doubled. Once every 2-3 months they have “Triple Coupon” days for coupons up to $.50. The Super Double and Triple coupons are limited to 20 coupons, and they are the first 20 coupons entered, so you need to be sure to give them the largest denomination coupons first to ensure those are the ones doubled or tripled. They also have a 5% discount for people over 60 on Thursdays, and some stores have a 5% discount for military families. Plus, they have the loyalty card and specials connected with that card.

Coupon stacking is a different matter – I think that is using both a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon on the same item.

      • Tracie, what store in NC are you talking about? Thanks!

    • Hey Tracie,

Living in Hawaii I would suggest the coupon clipping services closest to you like http://www.westcoastcouponclipping.com that way they are on the coast closest to you. Watch your expiration dates and if you just have to have a coupon that expires within 2 weeks then pay the extra for the shipping. It’s a toss up and you have your work cut out for you. But it is doable. Good Luck.

  26. I have yet to use a coupon service because they’ve not had the coupons I was looking for (this week and last week is Ronzoni Pasta) but, I agree with them for 2 reasons:
    1. Helps families save money on staples.
    2. Less paper is trashed helping the environment.

Now I’m not a big tree hugger or anything but every little bit helps.

  27. Any tips for us beginners?? I have a blended family of six and im a stay at home 22 yr old mom so savings is my best friend…all tips come in handy

  28. I have been clipping coupons from the newspaper and printing online for the past 3 months and feel I have really trimmed my grocery bill. The problem is that I work full time and in super busy weeks I feel I’m missing some great deals. I believe I will try the clipping service but I would like some guidance from the “coupon pros” out there. Is it best to gather coupons only for the “great deals” and/or items I use regularly or wait for the sales ads to come on Tuesday and try to order coupons that I can match with the sales ads. My concern is: will they get to me in the mail while the sale is still running and are these coupons going to run out because everyone is trying to get hold of the same coupons due to the fact that the item is already on sale???

  29. couponclippingservice.wordpress.com

  30. I haven’t yet tried any of the clipping services, but I think I will try. I appreciate all of the comments as they do help me know atleast a little bit better as to where to start. I know that I use a few different coupon information sites to help me figure out the best way to save money and I buy multiple copies of my local paper, but I know that other states have more, better or just different coupons than we get here. I’m hoping that by trying one of these services I will be able to access some of these. Thanks again for all of your help.

  31. My hubby just lost his job and we just had a son that I’m staying home with so couponing isn’t an option for us. I’m totally new at all of this but I found a website that is a TREMENDOUS help. It’s thegrocerygame.com. It basically matches up your store’s specials with coupons found in your Sunday paper and tells you how much you can get the product for. It’s pretty awesome b/c now I know not to “waste” a coupon if it’s not on her list. The first month is free (stock up on about 3 to 4 weeks of newspapers if you don’t have any before you do the free trial) and then after that it’s about 2 bucks a week. I’ve used the site for 3 weeks and I’ve always saved more than I’ve spent! It’s awesome and easy to use!

  32. Hey Melea, Thank you so much for doing your little research on the clipping services. I was so proud of myself when I found I came up with one of your suggested sites. I’m new to clipping services so I really appreciate you efforts.

  33. You need to read the signs posted on your recycling bins. Any that I have used explicitly state that you may not remove any materials from the site. Once items are discarded they become the property of whoever owns the recycling bins. Dumpster diving is considered theft in that case (though if you have permission from the owner, I would say you’re okay).

  34. dumpster diving isn’t illegal where i live, i’m married to a cop. And i have asked.

  35. Where do these coupon clipping services get their inserts. That would be a lot of dumpster diving to have a stockpile of 3,000 of one like coupon.

  36. I just tried ourcouponclippingservice.com last week and I got them super fast. The best part is that they do offer FREE SHIPPING but you have to have a minimum of $2.00 to buy…I would use them again.

    • I typically use Coupons by Dede, but some weeks there aren’t $5 worth of coupons to buy, so I’m glad you posted this site. I also like the fact that you can buy whole coupon inserts (Coupons by Dede stopped offering that option).

  37. I use The Coupon Master. Mainly because of the ease of the site, all the coupons are clearly labeled with the expiration dates, limitations/restrictions, and they are cross-referenced into categories (Dry foods, baked goods, dairy, ect). I can’t scroll looking for coupons forever, and I usually only need a few certain ones. (I don’t stockpile or extreme coupon..although I probably should stock up for back to school lunches!) 3 coupon min for the coupons you do get, so it will be something I get everytime I go to the store, and minimum purchase is $3. Shipping is actual weight so I usually only pay about $1 or so with the .50 admin fee. Always been fast and correct on the orders too. The way I see it, I am paying for the ease of something I want, not having to buy extra papers or waste ink. It works for me. 🙂

  38. I actually just tried the coupon clippers. I don’t know if they are any good yet and hopefully they get here soon. out of the coupons that I have ordered they are going to save me a fortune and actually only cost me 3.80… less than the cost of the papers i would have had to buy if I was clipping these from papers. I love the idea and hope that it keeps going, so I don’t have to waste my money on papers that I only use for the 2 circulars!

  39. I’ve used coupon clippers, couponsbydede, and a few others. Most of them actually buy the newspapers legitimately. Some of the ones that have been around for a long time are selling out before I can get the coupons I want bought. I just tried one of the new clipping services https://www.lonestarcouponclippers.com and I’m looking forward to seeing how fast of a turn around they have. There is nothing that frustrates me more than ordering coupons and then having a delay that causes me to miss the sale.

  40. I have used coupon dede over a month now. My first order took almost a week and a half to get. My second order I was missing 2 of 1 coupon but got 2 extra of another. Third week order came fine and was there within 4 days. Same for the fourth week. Fifth week order took 11 days I was not happy but I had no time to email or contact them right away due to my son having surgery. This is my sixth week emailed them twice NO response. Tried to put in an order for my mom and aunt and of course both times my order won’t go through and customer service was rude when I asked for help. So I am done with there site. My husband and I run a small business and I wouldn’t imagine giving anyone the run around. I would do what ever I could to better it if we did mess up. It takes a lot to make me mad. But I am beyond mad now. Good luck to all you coupon dede followers. I will be searching for a new clipping service today 🙂

    • Hi Everybody. You should try http://www.couponhero.co
She is great, fast and very friendly. I always get a confirmation of my order and then another confirmation when it ships, which by the way is the very next business day. She ships from the Tampa Florida area and I’m in Ohio, I usually get my coupons within 3 days.

Also, there are no minimum order amounts, no minimum or maximum # of coupons, etc. which is awesome. I don’t like the sites that tell me I have to order 20 of one item or spend $x or more. That is why I like Couponhero.co so much, she has NO minimums or maximums.

    • I’ve had some problems with Coupons by Dede, too. I’ve had 2 (out of 5) orders arrive with the missing coupons. The first time, they didn’t respond to my first email. I sent a second email a week later and they finally responded and gave me a small credit on my next order. I haven’t done anything about the last mistake, other than look around for a new clipping service.

  41. I think the best service for coupons is an Ebay Seller called “Buygrocerycoupons”. They always have the best prices, the shipping is always free and fast. I have been buying my coupons from them for the last 3 years. They have free bonuses for their returning customers. After my second purchase, they sent me expired coupons at the end of every month for free, which I use at my local store that accepts expired coupons. After my 5th purchase, I got 10 coupons for free of my choice. After my 10th purchase, I got $5 worth of credit to use towards their coupons. I have not reached my 2oth purchase, but the owner said I will receive a $20 Dollar gift card of my choice. That is super guys, how many businesses or services reward returning customers with freebies!!!! That is how business should be done….guys..treat the customers like gold!!!! I will always shop with them, try them out you will not regret it………

  42. Ditto!

    • Ditto….and ditto. And what about those of us who clip coupons and buy coupons to buy food for charity? The corporations are still making plenty of profit, and hungry people are getting fed. It’s a win win.

      • DITTO! And They also Add the ave of 3.5% to the cost of the products to pay for Couponing!
Others are Consider Break Even Costs to get oyu to come into their Stores..
Whole Foods Is Famous for this..

And who in your family Tree doesn’t like to get even FREE 2 pack of Toilet Paper! Paper Towels! Paper Plates! over 75% of our Garage walls are all Shelving and Filled With That kind of stuff and we give it away every Thanksgiving time!
We have 30 in the family over for Turkey Dinner and everyone Gets their Car Tunks Filled Up. They can either Keep it and use it or Give it away to their Local Church or otherwise..

Our mother Started this “Tradition” over 20 yrs ago and we kids do it now..

  43. I completely agree with the idea of using a coupon clipping services. They aren’t doing anything wrong they don’t charge for the coupons themselves they charge you only for the shipping and handling. There is lots of integerty there. Plus what if it was you and one of your spouses loss there job wouldn’t you be finding ways to save money. Its no different then you doing the clipping sometimes you may not have time to cut them yourself so why not have someone else do it for you. I see nothing wrong with this. I am just voicing my opinion.

  44. Im a rookie at this. Any advice on what coupons to really look out for to save the most?

  45. COUPON CLIPPING SERVICES ARE NOT ILLEGAL! I’ve read through many of the comments on this thread and many people are still under the impression that “selling” coupons is illegal. It is NOT. Do your homework. Yes, the wording on most manufacturer’s coupons say that you may not transfer the coupon because it will void the coupon. Well, okay. How many stores are going to “void” the coupon? They make money on each coupon that is redeemed in their store. How many of us have given a coupon to another person because we didn’t need it? That’s transferring the coupon. And, if you’re not allowed to “sell” the coupons then why won’t the newspaper give you the coupon inserts for FREE? They won’t, you have to pay for them with the newspaper. I’ve talked with the guy that runs CIC as well as other coupon industry leaders and they all say the same thing when pressed… the wording on the coupons is a “policy” set forth by the manufacturer’s. It is not a LAW. Coupon fraud simply defined has to do with the redemption of the coupon for the right product by the consumer OR by the retailer sending it in for reimbursement on products that were not actually purchased by a consumer.
Anyway… two coupon clipping sites that I recommend are https://shop.blisscoupons.com and https://shopflorida.blisscoupons.com. They both have manufacturer’s coupons from local newspapers and do vary slightly. Check them both out. Both of these services purchase the entire newspaper.

  46. I am just beginning to coupon, and I was told it is recommended that you get one paper/set of inserts for every member of your household over the age of 5. So most weekends, I have been getting 3 and it has worked fabulously. This weekend I got a coupon that actually gave me overage on a product, and by using all 3 that I had clipped, in conjunction with a store special, I made $7.26 on 6 items. The deal is going on for a while, so I ordered a larger number, enough to have an overage of about $100. This will enable me to stock up on meat, produce, and things that are pricy but rarely go on sale or have coupons. I find this to be a valuable service and I’m grateful it’s there. Also, the items I got the overages on (make-up), I donate, and the sales benefit a local charity. So my family benefits and my community benefits. I also mail my expired coupons to military bases. I can understand the concern that the coupons may be acquired by some nefarious means, but it seems to me that you are lacking integrity if you post on a website that the coupon clipping services are doing something wrong without any proof. Is that called libel, or slander? I never can remember which one is the spoken one and which is in writing…

  47. These services are useful and till the time there is employment opportunity every service is valid under legal umbrella.

  48. I used coupons clippers to help with a family that is made up with his two kids my two kid’s than our two kids. Which makes 6 kids and two adults. I only order what we use a month. I don’t stock up on things we don’t need. If it wasn’t for coupons I couldn’t feed the kids. Since I am back in school to better there lifes and mine. He is the only one working so it helps. Plus I don’t have to buy alot of newspaper and waste money and time and the paper. I can buy what I want when I want they do a great service to those of us with no time or money to look through 20 papers. So begore people talk about things they don’t understand they need to take a long hard look at what they are doing fo

  49. I’m very new to this tooand 3 don’t understand the 2/i or r/12 thing. What does this mean? 2hanks in advance! Lisa

    • So SORRY about that post! Was on the cell & it posted wonky! What I was trying to ask was when I looked at the coupon sites, they had 3/2 or 1/12, three slash two or one slash twelve to cover possible typos again. What does this mean, please? Sorry again, I’m new obviously! Great posts ladies!

  50. @Law1169 – I’m not totally sure what exactly you are referring to. It could be the expiration date of the coupon, it could be the amount the coupon is for i.e. $1 off of 2 items, or it could be the date the coupon was in the paper. If you add specifics or type out exactly what you are seeing, most ppl here will be able to respond.

  51. There are folks that you can get the whole inserts from. Most folks that supply the services have an arrangement with people that deliver newspapers or yes, they do dumpster dive. The service I use gives me the whole insert and I usually get them by thursday or friday. It works out great because then I have extra coupons to trade with in my local couponing circle.

    • I would like to know where you get your whole inserts from?

  52. I totally disagree with whoever says coupon clipping is unethical! They obviously haven’t been sick and broke! I could not keep enough groceries in the house when I had cancer and could not work, being divorced by a husband who “did not want a wife with cancer”. Hooray for couponing, it has helped me thru some rough times!

Now my family benifts, our local schools benefits and our local food pantry benefits

  53. I ABSOLUTELY agree! I always take some of what I buy and donate it to various organizations. If it was not for using coupons I would not be able to donate as much. I have never used a coupon clipping service, but I am, seriously, considering it. I look at my time as money and if there is a service that will help me save time because I don’t get a specific insert in our newspapers but need them for the savings, the more I will be able to save time and not miss great deals. Which means the more I’ll be able to donate. In fact, I believe, if everyone did this, we could help a lot of people or organizations in need by donating some of what we buy.
If people don’t like the “idea” of using a clipping service, then they should not use them. They should, also, not be on a forum being judgmental of others. It seems their time could be used more efficiently trying to HELP people, rather than tear them down. And as far as “dumpster diving”, you don’t HAVE A CLUE of what that persons situation is or they might be trying to help. If their motives are wrong, then God will handle that in a given time.

  54. I have my own clipping service. I charge the same for all coupons and have a disclaimer that the coupons are free but you’re paying for my time to cut, clip, sort & ship them…I believe I have done everything correct to keep my site legal.

  55. I also donate all of my expired coupons that do not sell to The Coups for Trops: The Carolinas…you can find their organization on Facebook and donate you expireds to our military!

  56. I have a coupon clipping service and believe me it is more of a hobby than a money maker. I have been selling coupons since approx 1984 via the USPS. and guarantee all orders. My coupons ship the next day (except Sunday of course). I post my coupons early in the am, and in the evenings, and post almost every day. I give new customers a $2.00 credit on their first order, so they can check me out. I buy numerous papers, and have generous friends and neighbors who save for me. Check me out–you won’t be dissappointed
