I had a problem at Walmart awhile ago. I wanted your opinion. I had a B1G2 on the scotch tape from Walgreens. The ad said buy one at $1.99 and get 2 free. Plus I had $1.00 off coupon. Walmart’s regular price was $1.22. The cashier told me because the price was already cheaper than the ad then they would not accept my B1G2. He told me that he could ring up the tapes and take my $1.00 coupon. What do you think?

They should have taken it according to their coupon policy, it only specifies that your coupon or add must contain a price which from the sounds of it your did. I suggest keeping a copy of the stores policy with you when you go in!

I have a question about using competitors coupons. I think I understand it but I’m not sure. For example, I have a Target web coupons that have an amount off a product i.e. $1.00 off Burt’s Bees lotion item, $1.25 off with purchase of two 36 or 42 ct. Cottonelle flush-able moist wipes. Can I use either of these at Walmart and can I stack them with a manufacturer coupon?

Just wondering about using coupons for trial size. Last time I went to Walmart they wouldn’t let me use a toothpaste coupon for the trial size even though the coupon didn’t specify “not for trial size” The checker just said “you can’t use coupons for trial size items” Is this right? Can an individual store have their own policy? or should I have pushed the issue?

I have used coupons on the trial size at Walmart here in Tennessee and never had any problems. They should let you use them as long as the coupon does not say otherwise.

Push the issue and keep a copy of the store policy with you when you go, and no wal-mart does not allow individual stores to have their own coupon policies

I had a question on using a BOGOF coupon with a $1 off coupon. I thought this was allowed, but I went to the Walmart store in Hurricane yesterday and tried to use the BOGOF for Tampax pearls and use the $1 with it and they said it wasn’t allowed because it was coupon doubling. I thought this was OK to do, since the $1 off coupon was on the “1st” box and the other coupon was for the “2nd” box, (getting it free). I don’t ever want to be guilty of using coupons falsely, but I thought this was OK and pretty sure other stores have allowed this. The Bloomington store, where I normally shop, seems to have different policies. Does each store do their own thing?
Also- they took the Smith’s quarterly mailed coupons as competitor’s coupons because their system accepted the scan.
Thanks!!
