Target’s Coupon Policy

Please make sure that you always have the Target Coupon Policy with you when you shop.  If you run into a new cashier or un-knowing manager, you can share the coupon policy with them and show the couponing procedure for Target.  It helps with any problems you may run into. You can find the Target Coupon Policy here.

Hi couponers. Today while at Target in Centerville Utah the cashier told me that the store is changing their coupon policy. That you can only use 1 Target coupon for 1 item for the entire purchase. For example, I purchased a 2 Yoplait kids yogurt for $1.79 each- .75 man coupon off of 2 -.75 off of 2 Target coupon= $1.04 each since I purchased 2. I did this twice. Each time with the correct amount of coupons and iteams. Whenever I have done this in the past nothing was ever said. Until today…. So I’m not sure if the cashier was just trying to avoid all my coupons or if they really are changing their policy? So just a heads up…. :-)

Thanks Angie! I haven’t heard anything yet. So, until the actual policy changes on the Target website, don’t let them try to tell you that it has changed. Take the policy with you so you don’t have problems.

I was at the Centerville Target today and was told the same thing. I have been doing this for at least 2 years and have never had a problem until today. She told me that is the way it has “always been” but that most cashiers just ignore it. She told me that I would have to do seperate transactions, that was until she saw what a mess it was going to be and she just took them all in one transaction!

Here is the link to the Target Coupon policy as off Aug. 31, 2011.
http://www.target.com/HelpContent?help=/sites/html/TargetOnline/help/promotions_sweepstakes_and_discounts/promotions_sweepstakes_and_discounts.html
You have to click on Help, then Promotions, Sweepstakes and Discount, then scroll down and you’ll see the link to the Target coupon policy. There is nothing in that policy that states restrictions like the one in Centerville, that I could see. ;-)

Oooops, my mistake. It says “Target accepts one Manufacturer Coupon and one Target Coupon for the same item (unless prohibited by either coupon).” Bummer!

I could not get to the Target coupon policy thru any of the links above, but I was able to get it. It was simple just go to Targets coupons page then scroll down it is on the left.
