I always felt like my accountant never really put effort into finding all of our deductions.  Which is obviously really important to me, because I want to get as much money back as I can! So, I finally got fed up with it and decided that the only person who knew our finances and purchases the best was ME.  Last year, I did all of our taxes online with Turbo Tax.  It was awesome!

Turbo Tax will walk you right through everything.  You don’t have to know anything about taxes.  It will ask you questions and you just fill in the blanks.  Plus, you can efile and have them deposit your tax return right into your checking account.  We filed our taxes last year in February and got our money 1 week later!

So, why am I telling you this now?  We have until April to file our taxes.  Well, Amazon is currently offering the TurboTax Deluxe Federal and State plus eFile for only $46.49.  It normally sells for $59.95.  Plus, they even have a $10 rebate here So you will only pay $36.49 to file your taxes!  Go here to purchase it at Amazon.  As always, I’m not sure how long they will have this price for.  So you will want to grab it now.
**Wal-Mart has this right now for $54.00!  Plus, if you purchase through Wal-Mart, you cannot use the rebate!

If you want to see how it works first, you can go to turbotax.com and check out the different options.  They will let you start without paying.  You can enter in all of your taxes and fix all of the information until you are satisfied.  Then, you pay at the very end.  You can even enter in information here and there the next few weeks.  It will save everything you enter.

Plus, since I entered in my info last year, it will transfer all of last year’s info to this years return.  That will make it really fast to complete my return this year!

They also have an area where you can ask a real accountant any tricky questions that you have.  So, if you are unsure of anything, they will clear it up.

Seriously, I cannot tell you how happy I am with Turbo Tax.  I thought it was going to be the hardest thing. And, it totally wasn’t!  I’m actually looking forward to doing my taxes this year.  They guarantee your taxes will be 100% accurate or they will pay any money you end up owing to the IRS!  WOW!

We save money on everything else we buy.  Why not save money on preparing our taxes too?!

IMPORTANT:  If you have really simple taxes or own a business, you may want to check out the other TurboTax packages that will fit that type.  The type I mentioned above is for the average user.

  1. is the rebate only good if you purchase through amazon?

  2. No, but they won't let you use the rebate if you purchased it at Wal-Mart or Target. They have a few other stores they will not accept the rebate from either because they said that Wal-Mart's prices are already low enough. Funny that Amazon's price is actually lower than Wal-Mart this week.Check the link I gave you for the rebate. It will tell you which stores you cannot use it on.

  3. Love turbo tax! I am by no means an accountant, and I love and look forward to doing taxes each year. I Yea for Turbo Tax!

  4. I went through at put all of my info into both H&R and Turbo Tax last year and was able to get more back from H&R, but I also really liked Turbo Tax. Anyway, not my point. I was going to say that if you go through eBates.com right now you can get 14% cash back. Not quite the discount that Turbo Tax is offering right now, but nothing to sneeze at either.

  5. Is the rebate coupon what you print online or is it something from the inside of the box, after you get it?

  6. It should be the printable link that I left in the post.Melea

  7. I tried this and Intuit says my rebate is invalid because I don't have the original rebate form that comes with the software. So just an FYI the one you can print at the link isn't enough you also need the one that comes with the software (and Amazon's does not have it).

  8. I ditto anonymous's comment – my reply from Intuit was that Amazon is not a participating retailer in the rebate you gave us a link to. So no rebate can be received if you purchased it from Amazon.

  9. Hey guys, I would actually contact Intuit and get upset. Their rebate form listed a bunch of retailers that they would not accept the rebate from… and Amazon was NOT one of them. They should honor the rebate. It was their fault they didn't exclude Amazon. So, put up a fuss. I'm sorry! I only go off of what the rebate forms say when I post a deal. The rebate form did not exclude Amazon. If I would have known ahead of time, I never would have posted it.Melea
